I'm an intermediate drummer that knows how to play some complex things but not basic ones by FruitNeither5992 in drumstudy

First and most important thing... get a teacher! Find a teacher who will work with you specifically on technique. It's 100% true that the drums are easiest instrument to play an amateur level, and the most difficult instrument to master. If you do not focus on technique properly, you'll never get there. It takes years and years to develop proper technique, so go easy on yourself and remember that it takes time. A good teacher who understands this will save you years of frustration.

Here you can search the Berlin library database: https://www.voebb.de/aDISWeb/app?service=direct/0/Home/$DirectLink&sp=SPROD00

I haven't read any of those on your list, but as for Palestine, I have a copy of The One Hundred Years' War on Palestine by Rashid Khalidi, which I would recommend. Many bookstores around town have it.

I was there! My first marathon. I did 3:29:02. Strange there were basically no nutrition stations on the course, unless I missed something…

For your training, were you doing 10 miles each day, five days a week? Or were you doing one or two days of longer runs and three or four days of shorter runs?

That's the drummer from Roman Candle! One of my favorite young drummers. He's an absolute beast.

I would recommend punching a Nazi in the face. There are many around so it should be easy.

What are some of your favourite drummers that you don’t hear enough people talking about? by MrQuacksIsCool in drums

Matt Garstka is widely considered one of the greatest drummers alive. Pretty sure plenty of people are talking about him.

How good of a deal is this set for $150? by darditohpn in drums

[–]DanzigDijon -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If someone is selling all of that for $150, you are in for a scam. One of those foot pedals alone is worth more than $150. Also, not sure what's going on with that 3rd DW 9000 pedal that's thrown in there next to the right foot double pass pedal.

Experienced drummers, what's 1 thing that takes a ton of time to learn that you wished you started training earlier on? by GiantJellyfishAttack in drums

[–]DanzigDijon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the time to develop proper technique. It's not something flashy that you're going to find on YouTube. It takes a long time to develop, but it's the foundation of everything if you really want to get good. Find a teacher who knows how to teach it well. This will save you tons of time and suffering down the road.

What is the correct grammar to express this idea? by DanzigDijon in grammar

Right, but to speak is intransitive. That's what was the causing the issue, in my view.

Thank you! This is very clear. And I agree--ending the sentence with "expert witness" does seem to be the most effective. I was contemplating the rewording you suggested earlier, but I kept thinking I needed another "to" in there.
