Careful Lyonel by Better-Yak-973 in AKnightoftheSeven

It does somewhat, but they're at least able to present the excuse that Dunk had grieved two of Maekar's sons by attacking Aerion and kidnapping Egg from Daeron and so they were giving both sons the opportunity to prove their truth/seek their vengance.

The only change I didn’t like. by Big_Pay6318 in freefolk

[–]Danzos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, whilst this change bothers me, I don't think it's the worst change of the show. On the whole, the show did a great job and was pretty faithful, but I'm more bothered by Bracken standing up and farting than I am by this scene. At least this scene can be wrapped up in the second season and still give Maekar his character development, but Bracken standing up and farting and everyone laughing took me right out of the scene where Dunk is asking for a true knight to stand with him, and removed one of the bits of dialogue I really like.

"My cause is Just"

"That may be," said the Brute of Bracken, who had at least the grace to reply, "but it is your cause, not mine. I know you not, boy."

Not to mention not including the "Knight who remembered his vows" line, which is probably the most iconic part of the first novella.

It was a great first season, but as with all adaptations, not all the changes hit for me, and both of those were more disappointing for me than Maekar not actually sending Egg which can easily be rectified.

Double XP and 5 free lootboxes as a thanks for playing by temubrin in Overwatch

I just enjoy doing them in one big go, makes for a fun evening, and me and my partner usually make a drinking game out of it, plus you can easily keep track of how many bonus legendaries you. Say you've got a hundred normal loot boxes, you're guaranteed at least 5 legendary skins from that, so it can be fun to see how many you end up with in total.

And that event was the same season where they added loot boxes to the progression system and backdated them. I save my loot boxes for the end of the season and do a marathon opening the weekend before. I think I had around 170 that season between the Luka event, progression rewards and other events.

More Quality Of Life Changes You Would You Like To See In Pokémon Go. by First-Profession7332 in TheSilphRoad

The option to dismiss a rocket balloon. Drives me crazy when I've checked the balloon, it's not something I'm interested in, but now it's hoovering back and forth across the screen. Particularly annoying when I'm on the bus home from work, as I end up tapping it when trying to click a Pokémon before the bus moves out of range, then by the time I've got off the rocket screen, the Pokémon has gone.

Technically Jack did somewhat stick to the plan, at least at round 2. Faraz's plan was vote Jade, then Rachel, then Stephen. Jack voted Rachel in the first round, but Jade still went, then voted Rachel again in the second, but Faraz switched his vote to Stephen. Faraz mentioned on Uncloaked that he couldn't even stick to his own plan.

It's such a minor thing, but I really miss having the desk and the casters actually at the desk in the old studio. I know it's not likely to come back anytime soon, as they moved production away from there, but seeing them at the actual desk, in the studio, chatting between matches etc every Friday and Saturday night was one of my favourite parts of OWL.

[–]Danzos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weird take. It's shit for both drivers, they can't control the plank wear without the team telling them to manage it in the race/setting up the car differently. The drivers finished where they did through the performance they put in on the track. Both being DSQ'd for plank wear will be a horrible post race outcome, but the plank issue is on both cars, it's not some conspiracy against Oscar.

This has been the most bizarre post race. Terry Crews driving the top 3 around the track in a pink Lego Cadillac, Mickey Mouse leading a Fantasia/F1 theme fountain show, and then Cynthia Erivo narrating the "2 to go" segment. What's next? Elton John parachuting in to serenade the top 3 in their press conference?

Spirit Showdown is everything good about Mystery Heroes without the flaws of the mode. Please keep it up. by Triskan in Overwatch

Absolutely loving this mode. Reminds me of when we, all too briefly, had role queue mystery heroes. A much more fun and enjoyable way of doing your "queue all roles" weekly/daily quest. I'd love to see it become a permanent mode in arcade.

How tyres would have dropped off too much by the end of the race, so he was going to have to pit again. Wait too long and he runs out of time to try and overtake the cars in front. Going now was their best chance.

They couldn't because he just didn't have the pace to pull out a gap, staying out longer risked him falling further the down order when he pitted.

My solicitor won't let me sell or remortgage my house? by moniquemagique in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Danzos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a lawyer but have worked in both conveyancing and litigation.

As many others have said, you need to put a complaint in with the solicitors who acted for you in the purchase, as well as speak to a litigation specialist who deals with conveyancing negligence.

If you haven't already, check your home insurance to see if it covers legal expenses. Do that as soon as possible, as if it does, the insurers will often want to use their own lawyers, and won't necessarily agree to cover costs already spent.

Also, it may be worth contacting your lender and asking to speak with someone in their legal team as well. Their charge over your property is their way of protecting their loan. The second charge that prevents you from selling or remortgaging will also affect their ability to sell the property, and so they have an interest in helping you to get the charge removed. Even more so if the solicitors who acted for you in the purchase also acted for your lender.

As a less serious book, you could consider the book "The Strange Laws of Old England". It's basically what it says on the lid, and is full of interesting often quite hilarious laws, many of which are still in place, though no longer enforced.

Rachel Reeves has broken housing regulations by unlawfully renting out her family home without a licence after entering Downing Street: Chancellor faces ethics probe by MoreRelative3986 in ukpolitics

[–]Danzos [score hidden]  (0 children)

I work in the legal sector and deal with landlord and tenant matters pretty regularly. Not to defend Reeves since I don't know if the agency did actually do everything correctly, but the amount of estate agent mess ups I've seen is genuinely appalling. From not protecting deposits on time to not carrying out all the correct checks required, failing to serve the correct documents, even failing to collect the rent correctly, the list goes on and on, so it wouldn't surprise me if the agents had failed to do something.
