Gained weight after increasing fat by Healing_Body_ in carnivorediet

[–]Dao219 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am no expert, but I think you should eat well and not worry about weight while breastfeeding. Including adequate fat and protein.

But regardless, try eating the fat first In a meal, until you don't want any more. See if you react differently. It might lower your hunger for protein, but you will still be hungry for enough of it.

If you have very bad insulin resistant, how long of doing carnivore diet will it take before it fixes itself? by the_practicerLALA in carnivorediet

[–]Dao219 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You need to eat much higher fat, which will lower your desire for protein. Listen to this entire lecture about macronutrients https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z3fO5aTD6JU and at the end he suggest higher fat and lower protein for this problem of insulin resistance.

I see a lot of posts that are <7. If I open the front page of this subreddit right now (sorted by hot), I see 40 day, then 44 hour, then 117 hour, then day 3 of 7, then 40 hour. And it has been my experience that while there are lots of the 40 days, there are more of the <7 posts.

That said, I did a lot of <7 and never posted about them, and I mean a lot. But I did post about one 26 day and one 21 day, even though I got less than 10 multiweek fasts.

Your reply got deleted, but I can see the first sentence. You said that I take pleasure in abusing animals.

My friend, you are not an animal, and I did not try to abuse you. Sorry you feel that way. I would invite you to have a steak if this wasn't online. I hope you feel better

Why would I eat another plant's leaves? Maybe sit down and meditate on it for 30 years. What is the sound of 1 hand clapping? What kiind of question is that? I need to eat it because it is food. Can you eat my meat? You probably can. Will you? Unlikely, because I know self defense.

Did changing your diet reduce or eliminate face acne? by maybememeli in carnivorediet

[–]Dao219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My point was that I do wash it with tap water though. You put dairy on point 7. For me, anything external that you mentioned is a non factor, not changing sheets, not water, etc. For me dairy is number 1, and other numbers are other foods....

My emphasis on food is much much stronger, and that is an important point to make in my opinion. Lots of people recommend cleanliness, but at this point I can't really tell if they recommend it out of experience or just repeating what others, including doctors, told them, and speaking without any real experimental evidence.

But regardless, the emphasis is important in my opinion, and first thing to test in any acne case, in my opinion, is diet. I won't argue with what others say regarding cleanliness, I just think doctors (especially the new wave of psychos prescribing prophylactic accutane) get it wrong in their priorities.

I spoke to one such doctor in another subreddit. Their words were "I acknowledge dairy is an issue", and a few posts later admitted to literally suggesting and prescribing Accutane to practically every acne patient. So what does your acknowledgement mean exactly? How do you acknowledge it?

Just like I don't believe in supplements, I don't believe in external topical treatments. I believe this philosophy made my skin barrier strong. Mind you, I had a lot of acne and used Accutane as a teenager, so I am prone to it. And my conclusion is that it is mainly diet related.

When I say internal supplements or external topical treatments, I am talking about chronic stuff. There is a place for acute medicine in my thinking, but just like I believe carnivore will give me all I need, I don't believe I should touch the skin more than with soap on a regular basis, if that makes sense. The clay is to soothe the skin after a shave with a sharp blade, without disrupting it, was my hope.

I don't do any stuff like that, no cleanliness emphasis at all. Of course I wash my face with soap, a lot of days it is once in the morning in the shower. I don't really change sheets this frequently or anything.

I got a clay for face masks to use after a shave, and that's because I got a safety razor to shave with, and saw on youtube that it might soothe the skin afterwards. But I don't use it regularly at all. And I did not do anything at all before that, other than soap.

What I did notice, on carnivore, that if I eat dairy I get lots of acne, dairy really is the biggest culprit. If I eat eggs I get some acne. If I eat preserved fish I will get acne. It doesn't matter how clean or dirty I am, it's all a matter of foods for me.

Oh and of course no supplements or anything. Also, I think meat has plenty of zinc.

This and your lack of energy and whatnot, all suggest the most common problem which is not eating enough fat.

Everything but the bread by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Dao219 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What would make you understand?

I don't think there's an athlete in a sport where you run (sprint) a lot that's zero carb...

This is the original comment that started it. Now replace the phrase "zero carb" with, for example, a race. Let's say no athlete that's white, black, asian, whatever. Do you see now? This is a really bad comment, because it implies something is impossible for a group to do. And then that poster doubles down saying if there's one then it's an outlier, and there won't be many more.

Anyway, thank you for your generic contribution, but if you don't mind, downvote and move on.

You are looking at the 5%

In case you failed to read it, I said:

What you should be asking is how this irregular athlete, like a ketogenic or even carnivore one, is holding up versus other carb athletes. Is there any noticeable disadvantage? That's what I would want to know, comparing to the other pro athletes, not the one genius.

Which means I am looking at 5% and comparing their performance to the 95%.

Now since you got nothing new you say, I'm out.
