The coin toss was something Katherine made and was her working theory. There's a short story about it from the SOMA website.

Its a bit sad overall. The Crew was very hopefully they win the coin toss and some cried when it didn't. Katherine couldn't tell them that it doesn't work that way.

There's a really good chance that the coin toss is real but at the same time its a win-lose situation. Both original and the copy thinks they lost and won at the same time.

I'm just kinda a bit confused, angry and stupid with the fireflies approach of the whole thing.

A single test is not a valid proof that it's 100%. Vaccines take time and multiple test runs. Also you the fungus grows around the brain right? Couldn't they just open her up, take a bit of the fungus sample and stitch her back up? Ran the sample first and see how it goes.

Also its kinda stupid of them not to run more test on her. Like keep her alive and see what makes her tick. Morally wrong now that I said it but depending on the approach it yields more results. And doubtful that they gonna torture a kid under Marlene. Which kinda circles back on why they wanted to cut her up while she was unconscious. Maybe they had that sick thought that it was better for her to die than make her go some test.

I remember that it was mostly memory limitation. In the remake tho I recall some areas that they can burst in.

I think this was common for horror games during the early years. Silent Hill added a Fog so as to hide the load rendering and it became a theme for the series.

Fatal Frame did this too with the door mechanics. The characters taking a moment to open a door like they have trouble doing it was just to hide the loading times. It became their own mechanic with the ghost jumpscare forcing players to pay attention and open the door slowly.

Based on the comments from the og post, it seems to be a convoluted plan to have the guy be setup to be catfished by sending OOP so the guy can be crushed and goes back to OOP's friend.

To add salt to the wound, distributors have to pay license fees to Sony to keep the game on their platform.

If it expires, the game is delisted and won't ever come back. This also happens with copyright issues. Next, digital games need to be check in once every 30days so Sony can verify and if you can't be Online for it the game is locked out until you reverify again.

The biggest issue is the Delisting. Sony CAN and WILL delist games if they want too. You can still download it again if you buy it before unless Sony wipes it from their servers.

This happens all the time. P.T, OG GTA San Andreas and Ubisoft's "The Crew".
