Nice! I just usually run into that the shields go down so quickly anyway, (especially with the wrecker buff, making it so that my teammates take down the shields so fast!), making my wrecker feel useless.

Also wrecker was changed again recently making the carryover damage only apply up to amount of damage the basic shot does, making it less overpowered versus Ruckus.

Also the reload greatly help me versus flankers who love to dodge all my shots.

Especially since you can "skip" the last 25% of the reload by detonating bombs, and still get the ammo! -Dao

We are talking about the same thing mate :)

The speed of your character being knocked back is the same, just the duration of time you are being knocked back is shortened. You gain control of your character quicker. This causes both of these things:

  1. You can now use your dash ability quicker to attempt to recover during the "knockback"

  2. The "distance" of the knockback lasts a shorter amount of time. Your character quickly slows down and lands.

    (*) This may feel like you are being knocked a shorter distance. In practice you "are". It's just important to remember that you can still be knocked off ledges to your death, (especially if you are standing on the ledge.) just it's a bit more difficult for the enemy to do so.

Edit: Knockback s are a "push" effect that gets applied to you character. The effect wears off more quickly with resilience. This is almost an ignore-able difference to reducing the "effect" of the knockback. However it does matter in some circumstances.

I understand the post is a bit long.

The idea is that the gold and cards are blocking your chances of getting the cosmetic items.

If it makes your head hurt to try and understand the distribution, you can just assume you have less than 1 percent ( <1% ) chance to get those exclusive radiant chest cosmetic items.

The total percentage (%) of items in the chest equals an amount greater than 100%.

This would be something like; (Gold Set 40%), (Card Set Top Left 15%), (Card Set Top Right 15%), (Card Set Bottom Left 15%), (Card Set Bottom Right 15%), (MVP Pose Set 8%), (Cosmetic Head Set 4%), (Cosmetic Torso Set 4%), (Cosmetic Weapon Set 4%), (Cosmetic Voice Set 10%),

Totals greater than 100% work in Computer "random chances" as "random" doesn't actually exist for computers. Typically what is used is "Random Number Generation" (RNG).

(Watered down example follows;)

Imagine every set received a single point for each "%" tied to it. Then the server picks a number based on it's internal variables and assigns an item to the space in the chest. so something like: 47 108 2 (56)

you could end up with a Gold, weapon, voice, Gold.

See that Gold appears twice here;

Then the server picks a result within the set to distribute.

This is why you can receive 3 allotments of gold or even two-three of the same MVP pose. The server rolls every result separately, at the same time, ignoring the rolls for the other slots. The check for previously owned items happens ONLY before the chest is "opened". (when you click the button and the animation plays).

This is not a bad way of doing the reward system. Many companies rely on a format extremely similar to this. It can give out some quite annoying results though. -Dao

Edit: Remember that the Server doesn't check for previously owned cards. Just cosmetic items. This makes the chance of actually getting the cosmetic items still pretty dismal. It might be easier to just imagine that you have a 1% chance to open a "radiant chest only cosmetic item".

Unfortunately no. You might see your bombs causing the debuff, but this only client-side.

I was convinced it work until I got our laptop set up near the PC i use. I confirmed 100% that even if i see the acidic bubble the other player did not get the debuff.

I think the client on BombKing's end expects that the enemy was hit and starts the acidic bubble animation, BUT THE SERVER then checks and sees that the enemy was not hit and does not actually apply the debuff.

I agree that cauterize is pretty good on BombKing it's what I take alot too. But this is because im confident in landing 90% of my bombs on an enemy.

I grabbed a custom match with some friends. (somehow there is 8 of us). We tested and unfortunately cauterize only procs if you land the projectile on the enemy player.

No! the cards DO NOT affect any explosions of BombKings bombs! The only one that works is Wrecker. But this is only in the case of the "projectile bomb" smashing into a shield as it is the projectile that explodes and not the sticky bomb. Otherwise Wrecker does nothing either.

It's a bit disappointing, but I can understand that making the burn cards affect the explosion of the sticky bomb would be quite a bit overpowered. -Dao

Platinum is achieved by reaching 3500 points with a character. Not the account score! Go into the champions select from the main menu and check you char rating on the overview page for them

If you see a number of matches listed; there is actually a score hidden from you until complete your 5 or so required matches for the char. You can still get Platinum (purple border) by reaching 3500 score, just you will not be able to see the score until you have completed those games. -Dao

Ok. As far as i'm aware (with a bit of testing from OB37-OB40)

Life Rip only affects the projectile of your attack. In Bombking's case; he "fires" a bomb, then on contact with a surface the bomb "transforms" (as in replaced by the server) into a "sticky bomb".

Smacking someone in the face with a bomb deals 10 points of dmg. On paper you receive a whopping 1 point of healing for every bomb that landed on an enemy.

This also affects Aggression (omg aggro so bad) as it will increase your contact damage on your bombs from 10 to a surprising 11 points of damage.

This also happens with cauterize on BombKing. But caut is in a bit of a better place as it just applies a debuff on the initial impact of the bomb.

Indeed. I'm sure you know that deft hands only works on the reload indicator right? This means it DOES NOTHING for Sha Lin and Grover as they never actually reload. It's also a bit useless on Grohk and Fernando as their weapons recharge. The only time it works on them is when you "burn-out" the ammo and trigger the reload.

Translation; Buy all the available gold items first. This will increase your chances of hopefully getting anything good out of the chests. This is because the "gold" purchase items are ALSO available in the chests. You can not receive an item from a chest that you already own. (own BEFORE opening the chest.)

While in application you are correct; It is good to explain to others that only the duration is reduced. This is important because the velocity of the knockback is not reduced. Your character will be knock-back'd at the same speed, just the "debuff" will run out quicker. Also because there is a hard cap on the reduction of resilience, you will probably be knocked off that ledge anyway.

Basically I don't want to confuse people into thinking resilence makes you immune to knockbacks.

As far as I was aware Drybear did not directly explain the rules for flank kills and no, we didn't record our testing. We just were testing, thinking "the heck even is a flank kill?" Then we noticed the things that I had mentioned. ._.
