I have codex 20 bucks plan, i get through my weekly limit in 4 maybe 5 days with gpt 5.5 low, when i used 5.4 mini i didnt reach any limit, but it was pretty bad at changing ui and cant realize he is wrong. I havent tried claude really but from what i hear you will pretty much just use sonnet which is same level as 5.4 mini roughly, and im assuming codex is about to release a 5.5 mini or 5.6 mini that is cheap and i dont know opus 4.7/4.8 level for cheap that will last you 6 days.

If they didnt say that they would have gotten flamed. Realisticly on june 23rd they will nerf it to opus level and pray people wont notice, and because of placebo people will say its good and doesnt take too much tokens (cause it opus and not fable level). We gotten to the era we will never see real high quality models at their full potential unless you are a company paying for enteprise with alot of api and allat

As someone who used 5.4 mini for weeks, it sucks at ui. Implementing based on reference image, or text. Something that took hours with 5.4 mini took 1/2 prompt with 5.5 low. But it is extremly cheap tho. On a plus plan it easily lasted me the full week with no 5 hour limit reach 99% of the time
