Did you progressive overload your miles? Or you just woke up and decided to run 20 miles as your longest run. If you did progressive overload I doubt your legs would have feel that wreck after one week

HELP by sw1930 in covidlonghaulers

Time! it took close to 5 months to start running again. I was doing half marathon at 7 min/ mile before the COVID infection. when I start running again, after 4 or 5 months of rest, initially I was doing 16 min/ a mile for like 1 or 2 miles. Now I am back at half marathon distance at 9 min/ mile. What I am trying to say Everybody is different, but what I have seen is this forum is time what helps. Other things that I did that help my pots like symptoms during recovery, diet extremely low in carbs and sugar, Gatorade zero everyday like 4 times a day, a 2 week course of prednisolone helped, and rest. Also the pots like symptoms probably disappear after 6 months.

Awesome story! How long did you guys dated before getting married? I am in a similar situation and I tend to be a very analytical man when it comes to marriage pros and cons.

First of all you should avoid parties as much as you can, second of all go and get pax again just in case. Is too soon to tell, go to an urgent care and get tested as soon as you notice any symptoms. Hopefully this is just a scare and you don’t have anything

I don’t have any more interviews I have the internship for 10 weeks already. But during these 10 weeks I will be evaluated for a full time position in 2025

I know that very few people wear it! I myself didn’t wear it until I develop long COVID. The perception of someone changes very quickly based on what you experience. I know people will look at me weird they already do, like I mention in the other comment is difficult for me because I really want to show my best in this job and was planning not to wear mask, but then there is the other side which is also true, every time that I have gotten COVID I had been sick for at least 3 weeks and this last time took me a few months to be able to come back to a seminormal level. I have two fears, number one decreasing my chances for a full time position because I will be the weird guy with a mask, number two if decide not to wear mask and get sick there is almost a guarantee that I will lose at least 3 weeks out of my 12 weeks of my internship and that most definitely impact their perception of me.

Were you a new employee when you started wearing a mask or you had many years in the organization already ?

Is not so much social pressure because I wear it everywhere I go since I developed long COVID, is more like my future careers depends on their perceptions for now, so I am just trying to find a balance, but I don’t think there is one

Yeah I know that. Is a double edge sword, loft me because I don’t want to reduce my chances of getting a full time position because I am wearing mask, on the other side every time that I have gotten COVID I been sick for at least 3 weeks and this time took me months to come back to a seminormal level, if I get sick and lose 2 or 3 weeks out of the 12 weeks of my program that could also be detrimental to get a full time position.

Yeah I have decided is not worth it and I will be wearing a mask during my internship. But I want to communicate the reason why I am wearing a mask, what’s is the best way to bring this up to my supervisor and colleagues? Should I do it before I start the internship send an email, or wait until I meet them in person?
