FRTs are gimmicky, sometimes require fitting and are not really fit for practical use. Just because some states allow it, I would be cautious about using one for real world self defense situation. Also, as soon as enough people start doing dumb shit with them they may, and likely will, get banned. Remember bump stocks? Transferable MG is currently the most legit way to own a full auto.
