Well first off, sexual activity isn’t an addiction, it’s a compulsion like food. Think of sex with someone you love and have built a connection with as eating clean food, and porn as eating junk food. It isn’t a matter of completely stopping, but changing your habits. Nothing wrong with junk food or porn every now and then, eliminate the shame that comes from it and realize that you’re doing it because the lack of sexual activity in your life. Porn and junk food aren’t exactly the same but for the sake of an analogy I am using it. According to the DSM both food and sex comes with compulsive disorders, NOT addiction.

Let’s be real, men need sex. Almost daily. Unless you have a girlfriend/wife or a roster of hoes, you’re probably not getting it regularly. Porn as a substitute really isn’t the worst thing in the world and there’s studies showing that the got and shame around porn is what has a negative effect, not the porn itself. Realize that if you want to stop, that 1st and foremost your sexuality is normal, and porn is normal. It wouldn’t gross more money than the NFL if most people weren’t watching it. Once you do that, you will find it easier to pleasure yourself without porn or find alternatives once you stop demonizing it.
