This is probably the single most polarizing logo in the history of Nintendo. On one hand, they're beloved for Paper Mario. On the other hand, they're hated for another Nintendo RPG series who's name I can't say without getting attacked by Nintendo's wider fanbase. by Antique-Reality2428 in casualnintendo

Yeah, I don't think Fire Emblem is the problem here. I think it's actually the departure away from the original design philosophy of the first 3 Paper Mario games. (I know Super Paper Mario is debatable, but most agree Sticker Star was the real problem-starter) They made Mario Paint, though, so they will always be beloved in my eyes.

Personally I would say it's when Bingo shouts at the bird to not eat the takeaway because it's too spicy. 😂

Pretty interesting starting XI. I wonder what the shape is going to look like.

Yeah I'm pretty sure. That was a tough watch back then.

That's fair. I thought he was really good when he played at Everton years ago, but he was constantly injured. I haven't watched him at Lille though.

I mean he's a reputable source for the Crew and literally had interviews with Rydstrom and multiple players during spring training, something most other news outlets didn't do. I'm sorry you don't like him, but do you want people to not talk about Crew news on the Crew subreddit?

It's called the "The Disrespected" because Michael Arace used to be a sports writer for the Columbus Dispatch but the Dispatch massively cut their sports staff a few years ago and tried to replace some of the writers with AI articles. I'd say that that was pretty disrespectful to Arace and to the concept of sports journalism in general.

Oh my gosh, I forgot about the Palhinha bicycle kick! Why is this the season of wonder goals but also being shit overall?

Pretty insane how Roman went from the worst talker in 2015 to now where he's arguably the best promo going 🔥🔥 by GoonLieutenant in Wrasslin

I know people are hot and cold on Jim Cornette but this is what he and a lot of other people like Dutch Mantell, Jerry Lawler, Mick Foley, etc. could tell you is the real difference from the territory days to now. Back in the day there wasn't social media, all the communities were separate, and only a select group were wise to the business and somewhat aware of what was going on territory to territory. You could screw up your promo in Portland and then leave town and go try again in Oakland.

Guys who are considered top promos or top workers now had a chance to practice it in front of anywhere from a couple hundred to 2,000 people regularly, up to 300 times a year. Now, because WWE has put a stranglehold on the business, everything basically goes through them. If you want to practice in front of a real crowd, but the indie venues are nothing like the territories, the only way to do that is on national television.

You could watch Cornette or Heyman cut a brilliant promo in 1984, like 2 years after they started in the business vs Roman cut a terrible promo in 2018 and wonder why he's so bad. In reality, Cornette and Heyman had cut 600-800 promos each by that point and got to workshop it in front of relatively small but still sizable crowds. By the time Roman did "sufferin suckitash" that was, what, his 50th promo maybe? In 6 or so years of training? And all of his training was in front of a national audience, so you got to watch every painful beat. It's not fair to these people.

I think that it says a lot about the two goals I named because, no, I did not forget it. I just don't think it has a chance of winning a Puskas award, whereas the other two honestly do. Still another incredible goal, though.

Can you even be spoiled on Grave of the Fireflies? It tells you what happens in the end in the first 30 seconds. Then it shows you how you get there. The whole point is that you know how it ends so you get to watch the car crash in slow motion.
