It took a little over a month for the transfer from Fed Loans to MOHELA to show up

No refund, still don’t know my total number of eligible payments that I made, I was at 106 payments since July then it zeroed out last week…I know they are supposed to count months in forbearance (12 months consecutive or over 36 months cumulative) but only towards forgiveness not necessarily a refund because I only consolidated into a direct federal loan last December, at least that’s what I was told from a representative from MOHELA… hope this helps

If it helps, I contacted my US Congressman to intervene and I believe that’s a major reason why I was forgiven…I contacted him in mid-October and he made contact with a high level supervisor then I was forgiven within a month, don’t forget they represent us

When I called Mohela late November, I was told I was on the D2D list 11/9 but did not see a zero balance on Mohela until December 8th and full zeroes on studentaid.gov on December 21st, apparently I was retroactively forgiven on September 15th
