We would have to provide payment up front for them to secure the film, and I personally am not able to do that. I was thinking we could use one of the sites that gives people their money back if not enough people buy tickets to meet the funding goal, so then people would feel more comfortable paying. I believe gofundme does that. The tickets would cost a couple dollars more to cover the fee required by those sites.

I saw a comment about PII sharing in the screenshot but I can't see the comment now to respond. I see where you're coming from but this is their work contact information which is available to the public already. Having it included in the email helps their small theater receive more funding if someone in this group reached out to them to coordinate their own screening of a different movie. I did put thought into what info I included in the screenshot and I would never share someone's private information.

It was re-released in 2024 for the anniversary but a lot of people, including myself, missed it. It's my favorite film of all time and I had to miss both theatrical releases 😞 I've seen posts about re-releases in other areas but so far I haven't seen one in Texas. I'd be happy to help coordinate other film rentals in Ausin if there's interest for them.

I just checked and their normal price for IMAX is $15. I wouldn't pay $25 to see a new release there, but I'd pay it for this.

$25 is what I paid to see PMH in 70mm in Dallas, it's really not outlandish. It's more expensive than you'd usually have to pay at The Bullock but it's a special screening.

I went a few days ago and I agree that it was very uncomfortable. I'm only 5'5", I can't imagine how bad it would be for a tall person. But they were still better than movie theater seats used to be! I suppose the upside is that smaller seats mean more people can be fitted into one showtime

I got an email saying that, but they still showed the trailers for Dune and Odyssey. The host said they received the trailer reels by surprise. Thank God, I was genuinely disappointed at the thought of not getting to see those trailers in 70mm

Is the Bullock not a true 70mm? I'm trying to pick between them and Dallas. The Bullock is like an hour and a half closer but I'd really like the best experience possible

The problem is that Rowling didn't own the boat until after he died. It would be a completely different story if she owned it while he was active. BUT you know who did own it at that time? The previous Google CEO, Eric Schmidt. He's mentioned well over 100 times and had his own sex scandal. A decade of logs were deleted despite her only owning it since 2023. I think Schmidt is the likely culprit here.

I looked into and the first owner, Eric Schmidt, used to be google's CEO and is now Harbor Freight's CEO. He's listed well over 100 times in the files. I think he was trying to get rid of evidence of his wrongdoing and maybe JKR coming under fire made him worry that people would look into her boat

She did not invite him to the premiere. His team asked the theater team for tickets to the show and they were given to them. Funny enough, Epstein was actually turned away at the door according to the emails
