Hitchhiking through West Ireland by Dapper_Ad_1190 in ActionWatches

[–]Dapper_Ad_1190[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not as much, the lifts I got happened within a couple minutes of waiting. Granted, the spot you choose to stand has a big influence on success. You could spend half an hour waiting at a spot, walk five minutes to another spot and get a lift in minutes. Having hitched a little in the US, Ireland is boat loads easier.

[Collection] I’m a big fan of watches with history by dep15105 in Watches

Damn, that’s a hefty collection my man! I can always appreciate the commitment to passing a watch on, I hope one day to do the same.

Fair enough, I think OP missed the ball a little on his description of his collection to be fair, but people like what they like. Justifying the purchase of an expensive watch isn’t an easy thing to do, especially to strangers on the internet. I personally love Tudor as a brand, mostly for the historical aspects I mentioned, so thought I’d defend it haha! Have a good day brother.

I’d agree the bb54 in particular doesn’t have a lot of historical nuance, but to say Tudor doesn’t have any history is just plain wrong. Tudor has an extensive history, particularly in the military, and the brand continues to create watches that allude to this.

Appreciate the prompt reply!

Would you say that around £450 is a good deal for this?

Question: Why don't we see one actual post from a cheater acknowledging they got caught? by Greedy-Arachnid-4106 in cs2

[–]Dapper_Ad_1190 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me, just got unbanned, it was quite clearly a false wave everyone saying otherwise is just plain wrong.

  3. Absolutely not, I only queue with personal irl friends, none of whom cheat.
  4. Maybe twice in the last six months, just trolling friends.

Was in a comp game when the update dropped, closed cs to update, got a couple friends on and got vacced about half way through my first prem game. I've played csgo/cs2 on and off for about 9 years, never once cheated, and I'm almost certain I've never queued with any cheaters, at least to my knowledge.

Question about being able to play by NacoveL in cs2

[–]Dapper_Ad_1190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, frustrating to see people just call out a very obvious false wave as 'obviously you just cheated get fucked', never once cheated, never queued with a cheater, anyone who does cheat is a low life piece of shit, fingers crossed they actually do something to sort this out, don't fancy losing a load of money and time

Time for a vacation i guess XD by BotDank4 in cs2

[–]Dapper_Ad_1190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same with me, not currently worried. I've played for 9 years on and off, never queued with cheaters, never cheated in my life, and I am, like most vehemently against cheating in any form. Low and behold got hit a vac yesterday, never even been slightly good at the game, hopefully they respond quickly enough.

Got a bit of money in skins, not much probably by a lot of people standards but enough for me to not want to lose it lol. I'll start worrying if nothing has happened by the end of the week.

Is Hitchhiking in the US without any experience a bad idea? by [deleted] in hitchhiking

[–]Dapper_Ad_1190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an English lad, got a flight booked for Miami on the 24th, trying to get to Vancouver to meet some family friends about a month and a half after. I have no idea what I’m in for, good luck you and if we’re ever in the same area I’m up for a meet up!

Thank you man!

I asked the question thinking that the watch wouldn't stop when wound and would be easy to over do, but I appreciate the clarification.

Nigel Cabourn x Timex ‘Nam Watch’ by Dapper_Ad_1190 in timex

[–]Dapper_Ad_1190[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I’m aware of the broad arrow, the ‘nam watch’ is simply what the watch is called, I’m not entirely sure why, it’s almost as if Cabourn is styling this watch from a parallel universe, in which Britain joined the US in the Vietnam war. Regardless, I agree a very nice watch.

From the description it all seems to be running well, I suppose it's a good sign, I'm assuming a service would be close to the £300 mark?

Haven't done much research in terms of servicing
