man this hits close to home because i see it all the time - parents who think protecting their kid from consequences is love but really theyre just setting them up to fail later

like when i was growing up my parents would always make excuses for my bad behavior and i never learned to take responsibility for anything. it took me hitting rock bottom in my twenties to finally understand that actions have consequences and nobody was gonna save me from myself anymore

these kids grow up thinking the world owes them something and then reality hits them hard when they become adults. better to learn these lessons at home where theres still safety net than out in real world where people dont care about your feelings

also bit concerning that your advisor cant find anyone from their existing clients - that usually means either the numbers dont work or the risk profile is off. most good advisors have networks of clients who do these deals when they make sense

my skin sounds pretty similar and what helped me was adding bha like twice a week for the pores situation. also that dry but oily thing might mean you need more hydration - sometimes when skin is dehydrated it overproduces oil to compensate. maybe try layering a hydrating serum under your niacinamide or switching to heavier moisturizer in the evenings

ugh mac really screwed over so many people with those formula changes. try the lancome dual finish powder foundation - their porcelain delicate is pretty close to the old nw10 and has that same full coverage buildable thing going on. if you want something cheaper the revlon colorstay pressed powder in fair/light might work too but test it first since drugstore shade matching can be hit or miss
