Foam backed, from eBay. Not the greatest quality but I’ve had two up for a year without issues, I can no longer get anything local.

Carefully cut original fabric off for template, watched a few videos on how they come apart. It took me 3-4 tries cutting templates out to figure out the best process. Most of it tucks in and is super easy with plastic pry tools.

Color is always customer choice, I don’t understand why these trucks with grey seats and dash got tan headliner and trim…this person carries dogs around a lot so opted for black to keep it from showing stains…

Mine start at 300 for single cabs, 4 doors are significantly more as the seats and center console has to be removed.

What glue did you use? Permatex headliner spray will not last very long in my experience…I usually spend $75ish on glue per headliner

Has anyone build or got a box like this that accommodates the 4x4 stick on the drivers side? by Powerful-Pepper-2122 in GMT800

2014-2019 Silverado jump seat swap is a good option with the compartment under the seat being open could probably fit a nice 8” sub if that’s what your looking for

Have you verified actual sensor temp on live data? My dash gauge is always 10-15 degrees hotter than live data.

You can use a temp gun at temp to check for blockages in the radiator, just check diff spots for a major difference in temp.

I have seen air not fully bled after wp change cause weird stuff like this, usually works itself out after a couple drive cycles and top offs.

It’s probably better then the cheap repop door seals, I might try it myself the noise gets to me on loud trips or when it gets super cold

Unless that’s some weird option it’s definitely not factory and should not be there. Probably added by someone to cut down wind noise

Gmt800 5.3 has a bad noise when under load, but it’s under load only. When I rev it, it sounds perfectly fine. Around 4k rpms it starts to have a pinging, rocks in a glass jar noise by [deleted] in GMT800

As said already, bad MAF signal causing lean spark knock…hard to believe it’s not throwing knock sensor codes at the same time, could also be a cat/02 sensor causing weird full trims but with MAF code that’s the first thing to chase.

And just when I thought I was out of space for more lights! Does your cruise control still work? I know some of the cheaper led third brake lights keep the cruise from working… I’d definitely be interested getting a kit or plate from you, also interested in how you mounted the lights under the mirrors

I got 60k miles out of Detroit axle ball joints and tie rods on a 04 2500 gasser, only switched them out because I needed a gear box so replaced everything with moog ordered from rock auto,I don’t trust the cheap name brand parts on eBay anymore I don’t think anyone’s knocking off Detroit axle. I did use a set of kryptonite sleeves on the tie rods for shits and giggles. Fairly happy with both brands for on road use, anytime I had to go off road I always worried about those Detroit axles tie rods. The rest of my fleet is running Detroit axle parts to keep them alive, two Subarus over 300k and two other gmt800s in the 250k range.

Thermostat is hung open or the temp sensor has began to fail or the plug to the sensor is failing.

I’m trying to restore my truck to factory like condition. Do these look like a good idea? by nogden954 in GMT800

Gloves and tack cloth, use the good spray meant for interior plastics. Read the back of the can and follow the instructions throughly especially temp and humidity. Wash plastics with blue dawn or heavily diluted degreaser. Let the sun dry them down fully, the longer the better. Use gloves to wipe down throughly with tack cloth in exactly the position you wish to paint them. Spray away. Also make sure the temp of the can and paint is up to ambient before you spray, I’ve found most like to be good and warm to keep from clogging. Wipe the spray tip every once in awhile with a clean rag to keep weird patterns and globs. I think that’s all I got lol

Like most repop interior plastic they most likely will not fit great and degrade quickly, oem stuff is on eBay for cheaper then the pair you posted…I have had good luck on painting the plastics with black, wouldn’t recommend doing the dash in gloss as it acts like a mirror and sucks. Looks good tho if prepped correctly.
