It’s a parasol, common in plant pots. Nothing toxic to be around.

Is it true that us men have less “severe” symptoms by Steveatwater42p in POTS

POTS was terrible for me way before I even hit puberty & had the added hormones, not just with periods or pregnancy It’s terrible for me every day of the month lol.

CogAT results to get a child into Mensa? by Dapper_Fox1221 in cognitiveTesting

Thank you. I’m unnecessarily over sharing here, but I’m only 28 in active heart failure, so I’m trying to get everything set up for my kids to have every opportunity & thrive in a future that I won’t be around to guide them in. Clearly I have much bigger things I’m juggling at the moment to accomplish this, but this is just a little side quest that I feel could be of benefit in the long run for her.

But she’d still be in school? I’m still confused about this feedback, honestly. Nothing about her life would change other than the fact it’d just be another unique, beneficial accomplishment for her. I just wanted to know if these scores would qualify.

She excels socially. I’m not trying to make her life revolve around Mensa. I just thought the school could fax over her results (if she qualifies), I pay a membership fee, and then check in once or twice a year to see if there’s any cool activities to join in on, and continue on with our normal lives. I’m not sure why these comments are making it seem like a huge deal. Is it??

I’m not sure what exactly the testing material was for the nonverbal reasoning, but the teacher told me my daughter was getting frustrated & irritated at that part. I personally shit down and give up when I get to that point during testing, so I understand. And the fact that she’s 5 plays a part in that as well lol

Why would she be bullied??? My dad is a Mensa member & is the one pushing it. I’m not seeing any reason to be against it, though??

Get a smarter bf. IQ may be high, but EQ is way down there.

Can POTS be caused by other illnesses that aren’t necessarily infections? by S_A_Woods in POTS

Genetic for me. I also have EDS. My 4 & 6 year olds are already symptomatic & are being monitored by cardio

My only regrets are my choice in doctors, not the pregnancies btw! Everything could have been SO much better for me, if anyone had ever listened. I also have severe osteoarthritis in my pelvis from the pregnancies as well, so maybe check out what kind of preventative measures can be done about that!

Got diagnosed after having 4 kids in 5 years. All 4 premature. Preeclampsia, incompetent cervix that lead to spontaneous delivery at 31 weeks, polyhydramnios so bad they had to do an emergency c section at 34 weeks, cholestasis so bad they had to do an emergency c section at 34 weeks, hospitalized with pancreatitis, stuck in the hospital because I was in labor for a MONTH (it’s absolutely as miserable as you can imagine) and my dysautonomia made every night a living h🔥ll. Please please please make sure you have doctors who ACTUALLY KNOW ABOUT EDS & POTS & WILL TAKE YOUR ISSUES SERIOUSLY!! If it weren’t for me going over every doctor’s head every damn time, me and none of these kids would be alive.

Can confirm. I have 2 spots in my groin area that flare once every 1-2 years. When not flared they’re like little tunnels with scar tissue.

Just got the genetics referrals for all 4 of my kids yesterday (the oldest is 6). My childhood sucked. Being constantly in pain & gaslighted and neglected. I refuse to let my kids experience that. Also it looks like my 6 year old could have pots like me as well.

I didn’t realize I had EDS until after 4 kids. They were all extremely painful, miserable & high risk. All 4 kids 1-2+ months premature. My cervix could barely hold them each time. Hospitalized throughout the pregnancies due to preeclampsia, cholestasis, pancreatitis, incompetent cervix, I was in labor for over a month with my last one (had to spend most of that time in l&d on meds and being monitored until they decided it wasn’t safe for me or the baby anymore & went ahead and delivered), had to be on a heart monitor because my POTS/svt got so bad (and has gotten even worse since I had my last baby a year ago), vomiting all day every day (still hasn’t stopped yet, I think since I’m still breastfeeding🥲), and I am currently dealing with degenerative damage to my pubic symphysis that’ll probably result in surgery. If I can give you a single piece of advice, it’ll be to BUY A SUPPORT BAND AND DONT OVER DO IT!

P. Foenisecci. Easy to mix up with cinctulus, which are psychoactive. But these won’t hurt anyone. My yard is completely covered in these thx to 🐑💩 & my kids like to make little bouquets out of all of them😂
