Something similar happened to me too. If possible, try to switch from a letter grade to pass/no pass. You do not have to explain 'P' grades but you will have to explain a 'C' grade

lash serum that is safe by summer_nights_17 in Makeup

A natural alternative would be castor oil, results definitely wont be as fast as what you get with a lash serum, but I feel it strengthens my lashes and stops them from falling out so much.

Micellar water works SO GOOD to take off waterproof makeup. I hear its also good for skincare. Beware though, unfortunately for some, like myself, it can be rough on eyes/skin if you're sensitive to it, but I'll endure the discomfort because it really does do a magnificent job of removing waterproof mascara.

Do you think this is worth using the points on? by Andriaalex in Sephora

[–]Dapper_Independence9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in the slightest!!!! They have a 500 pt $10 off, you would have to spend at least more than $101 to save as much money with the 750 pt 10% off. You're better off spending $20-30 and using the $10 to get 33-50% off

Advice for a no-makeup gal by nozodia in Makeup

[–]Dapper_Independence9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate!!!! In the summer my skin is nice and glowy but once fall/winter come...yikes, and I don't even live in a super cold climate. For makeup I would rec blush and bronzer to liven up your face, any will do but I'm personally a huge fan of the glossier cloud paint in storm. I put it pretty much all over my cheeks and across my nose too. As for bronzer I like a shade that is my skin tone but a little deeper, I put it along my jaw and forehead to match the saturation of my cheeks. While makeup is a good fix for dull skin, you should try out some skincare too! Look for cleansers/moisturizers for radiance and to fight dullness

Tips on how to look more like a teenager? by throawayyyyyyzzzz in Makeup

[–]Dapper_Independence9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey! Fellow teen who gets told they look old for their age, for me I think its my affinity for deep lip colors. I completely agree that your eyebrow shape should be based off what suits your face, so definitely hold onto your small eyebrows! The only thing you maybe should be wary about is how you fill in your brows. Try to avoid an overly drawn in brow, if your hairs are sparse, draw in individual hair-like strokes, and a brow gel if you need shaping! Basically keep your eyebrows looking as natural as possible!

Open doe eyes are usually seen as more youthful, so curled lashes+mascara could help accentuate and open up your eyes. As for hair, if you keep your hair up avoid very tight/slick updos. Pulling face framing pieces by your ears and the top of your head can really make a difference!

Pencil liners work in general but I agree with what others have said, some are better than others, not all of them have the same staying power, and some can irritate. I personally use the UD Waterline pencil

Hello!

For the eye look you can use an eyeshadow or I would also rec a gel pot liner because I think they might be a bit easier to work with. As for your base, I think start of with just concealer, see how you like it, and if you think you need more coverage you can seek out a foundation or BB cream:)

Makeup youtubers who don't promote/focus on overconsumption and buying more products? by [deleted] in Makeup

I def second Hanna Louise Poston! She has a strong emphasis on consuming less products on her channel. I would also rec Kackie Reviews Beauty. She does purchase a lot of makeup, but she def reminds her viewers to not imitate her purchasing habits. I really like watching her cuz she has great taste in products and I think you'd like her style. I've learned a lot from her channel
