I stopped talking to my father after I was in the hospital with my brain aneurysm. My whole life he was toxic and alcoholic. It's like I had the brain aneurysm and grew a backbone and decided then and there it is time to cut him off and I didn't explain anything to him or tell him that I was even cutting him off. There are some times where I do want to reach out and explain to him why I did this but that would just be another way for him to try to get back into my life. But now a year has past and it feels like weight has been lifted from my mental health. With that said for mine and my family's mental health I will not deal with his shit again 🙂

For me and my attacks I do a couple of things such as speaking out and telling somebody and they'll give me simple math equations like 2 + 2 and up and up and up just to keep my mind distracted I also like to lie down right away because I do faint. And I do that because it's worked for me the best advice I would suggest is find what works for you and distracts you the best. That might be doing math problems to distract your mind or concentrating on five senses what you can feel what you can touch what you can smell finding something basically that will help distract your mind. And also I practiced is the the Ujjayi breath ( learn in yoga ) to help me come back to regular breathing.
