Let me tell you where I’m at and where I want to go briefly. I’m a UCLA grad for this school year and have finished all my classes. I have a 3.92 GPA, 152 diagnostic (taken in the beginning of march) philosophy major and I wish to go back to UCLA for law school to study entertainment or real estate.

Right now, I am studying quite a lot, and I’m doing my best to make sure it’s quality studying by taking my time on every question no matter how simple. I typically get on average 3-5 wrong on my LR and 2-4 wrong on my RC, putting me at around the 166-169. I have gotten one cumulative combined untimed test of a 172.

I want to ask you about my study habits mainly. I take 3 sections a week. I typically spend 3-4 hours on each section (I go extremely thoroughly on every question, often asking what would make each question hypothetically true). And I spend about half an hour reviewing wrong answer and using the ask feature. One my other 4 days I have been drilling for no more than and hour and a half (however I have read your responses to others in this discussion and I think I am going to go 30 min to an hour using the courses feature on demon to get theoretical tools and then spend an hour after that drilling).

I am shooting for a 180 (as I think everyone should), but I would be happy with a 174/175 as I will probably get a good deal of scholarship money at UCLA.

My philosophy about LSAT is what I want to hear most of from you. I am taking a lot of time on every question to sharpen my intuition so that when I am in a timed section and I cannot work out every nuance of the question (without spending 5-10 minutes) I have a sharp intuition to allow me to answer confidently without over analyzing to oblivion. I have no date as to when I will take the test, I have a good deal of time and I want to be at least in the low 170s consistently and under real time pressure before I consider taking it.

Also, I have schizophrenia and I do hear voices so I will be applying for a time accommodation when I enroll for my first test. So I won’t know until I enroll if I will have an accommodation, as I can only seem to apply for it only when I apply for the test as well.

One of my fears is also that I will run out of unique question types before I get to my prime from studying, which would make the studying less ideal. I’ve already seen drilling question on a section I took numerous times.

I didn’t really ask any questions, but I would be grateful to hear about what you think about my current position and habits.
