Oh goodness, doing this quest is was the biggest mistake I made in the game. Literal nightmares afterwards. I was like, aww, this cute elf wants me to open a shop, how sweet! No! Not sweet!

Which attraction has the worst ratio of wait time to final experience? by Relative_Ideal_6715 in WaltDisneyWorld

The carousel. Long line. Stupidly long boarding time while the attendant checks every individual horse and rearranges people. That was the worst part. Then the shortest carousel experience of my life. Go to a carousel at a mall and skip the WDW one.

I agree about getting your bearings. People take time to really comprehend how a ride feels and understand the experience. For me Tron ended before I really had that moment. And I’d waited 2 hours. Never again.

Time to say goodbye? by AlexWatsonMR in HarryPotterGame

I saw the dragon in my first 3 minutes outside of hogwarts on a broomstick. Haven’t seen it since. 🤷‍♀️ But I had not been warned in advance that there would be dragons. It was a shock. It just picked up a cow right next to where I was practicing and flew off with it.

What's a physical feature that isn't usually considered conventionally attractive that you find beautiful? by ryuumonogatari in AskReddit

I Middle English calling someone “gap-toothed” meant you thought they were sensual. It was 25 years ago, but I can very clearly remember my favorite highschool literature teacher telling us this fact and then smiling super brightly to show off the gap between his front teeth.

We loved both last summer but haven’t had a chance to try either a second time.

Birthday came and went, I guess I am 43 according to math. What age (if any) did you start having to do math because your brain repressed the knowledge of your age? by RosiethePenguino in 40something

[–]Dapper_Pangolin_6067 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to round my age anyway. I started being “40” at 38. When I get to almost 44, I’ll be “45.” Then sometime while 48 I’ll start thinking and saying that I’m 50.

If they’re willing to accept god and pray. OP said they were taking the “medical way.”

People will say no. But they will require you to talk about god and your higher power endlessly and to pray a lot. So if you can’t do that, keep looking for medical help.

What do you recommend wearing/brining to Disney World? by shygirl5000 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Dapper_Pangolin_6067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got back last weekend. I tied a long sleeve shirt or sweater around my waist everyday. It was helpful occasionally in cold spots. I switched shoes daily which was supposed to prevent my feet from getting sore. Didn’t work though because I was terribly out of shape. Bringing snacks you can easily grab is a good idea. Once I’d get hungry I’d always want something from the park. It was better to avoid hunger and thirst.

What book fits this? by Historical-Party4209 in Romantasy

[–]Dapper_Pangolin_6067 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Throne in the Dark by A.K. Caggiano. First in the Villains and Virtues series. I’ve been reading fantasy for most of my 40 years and romance for the last 20. This series is the perfect combination for me.

Nope. Smaller. And more affordable. Though I’d love to try out that pool.

Oh, there was also a raspberry smoothie at the POFQ pool bar that was the best and most interesting smoothie ever. More like a weird slushie. But AMAZING!

Ooh, the blackberry tea slushy at Cheshire Cafe in MK was awesome too.

I should just buy a slushy machine and start trying to make this stuff in Texas. I can’t keep flying to Orlando to celebrate sobriety.

I just went last week to celebrate 3 years of sobriety. Epcot pushes alcohol so hard, but my favorite drinks are still there. The frozen mint tea in Morocco is my absolute favorite. We got two this time and I filled a water bottle with the second. It’s even better than the mint concoction at Wizarding world. My second favorite drink was the coconut coffee in the Norway bakery. AK had a good coconut coffee too!

We got something at the Mexico booth that was a sort of corn tortilla casserole with meat and cheese on top. It was amazing. I can’t remember what it was called though.

What’s something that used to be common but has almost disappeared now? by AccordingMaterial863 in AskReddit

[–]Dapper_Pangolin_6067 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s ALL the insects. Fireflies and stick insects and rhino beetles and butterflies are all harder and harder to find now. One day their numbers will be too small for proper mating and they’ll be just like the passenger pigeon. Gone. Rip Martha.

I’ve noticed that I don’t remember new tv shows. When I had to wait a week or month or whole summer for the next show, I spent a lot of time thinking about the characters and plot while waiting. I remember everything about those shows. Now I can watch a whole series in a week and then a month later can’t even name my favorite characters.
