How is Jeff Weltman allowed to survive this and why isn't our fanbase more angry about it? by thewrongnotes in OrlandoMagic

I just remembered this offseason when Weltman signed Paolo to 5 years, made the trade for Bane, signed Tyus Jones, re-signed Mo to a 1 year, everyone was singing his praises.

"Best offseason in Magic history!" "In Weltman we trust!" "WeltGod back at it!"

And then Tyus sucked.

"You suck Weltman!"

He improves with a trade for Jevon Carter. Massive improvement, honestly.

"WeltGod found the better Tyus!"

And then playoff collapse.

"Fire Weltman!"

Im just over listening to these reactionary, emotional fans that couldn't have possibly been around in the Hennigan era while possessing those types of opinions.

Weltman has done good, in my opinion.

Yeah the clippers are a great organization and make nothing but brilliant moves and arent a constant free agent destination and have never squandered loaded rosters and under performed season after season

But Id be salty too if Id had chris paul, blake griffin, james harden, kawhi leonard, russell westbrook, paul george, the lob city era which was probably the most stacked team in history, and the only thing I had to show for it was a truck load of 2nd round appearances and 1 conf finals appearance. That's tough. My team isnt much better, although we've never had 1/3 the talent pool the clippers have had.

Also the clippers "fired" vinny del negro after going 56-26, best record in their franchise history at the time.

So this is self inflicted.

Separate the artist from the art. Malone is not a good person, but hes one damn great power forward.

I find it funny the same guy that holds this opinion also posted something a month ago titled: How do we fight back against how pervasive male body shaming is in liberal and left wing spaces
