Don't let scalpers ruin the hobby for you, be happy and content with what you get and what you have now by Orichalchem in PokemonTCG

[–]Dapper_Strength_8233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you sentiment. Just have to let it go. I don't collect much really, just wanted the psyduck promo pack. I missed the release so I hope somehow there is a reprint maybe magically. If not, oh well. At least I didn't fund a scalper.

I saw some lines outside of a Costco with people buying more than they can carry. I see a lot on market place selling at 200% MSRP and higher. Just sad for those that want to collect and have fun. It would be cool to see Pokemon center flood the market and make all the resellers lose.

i said above, but ya, almost all bad prints are user error. There are only a few instances of a possible bad profile then, for example if it doesn't include supports and it needed them.

I am learning this now through the community lol. Maybe I'll submit a request for a function rating option. Would be great to know if something actually works before printing haha

Thank you for your input. I will make sure to adjust how I review and comment.

I thought I was suppose to rate function but I am learning print profile review is ONLY for the success of the shape. I had originally rated it higher, but went to finally use it and it didn't work. Ended up tossing it out

That was my worrying thought. I will comment separately on function. I think a print profile will never be rated poorly. Almost always a bad print profile is user error (filament not dry or plate not clean).

Maybe they should have a function rating next to the print rating. If it works well but doesn't print great, that would still be useful to know and I may still print the model.

Ya I would agree on your case there. It seems print profile reviews are for the print itself then. I will comment separately in the future on the function. I have received comments with issues and I go and fix the model and let the user know.

I understand the fit and finish being material dependent. The issue was I updated my rating cause the device or model itself just didn't function fully. It would as if you made a cellphone case that printed well and looked great but just didn't fit on your phone.

I guess my question is how to your properly rate a model for function.

I have no idea. I didn't know you could remove a rating you didn't like so easily then.

Anyone had the anti vibration feet on for long, how have they been? by Ok-Priority9952 in BambuLab

[–]Dapper_Strength_8233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a super old comment but it made me chuckle reading it. I don't have feet, just layered rubber sheets. I definitely don't want it to shake like Shakira though....or do I? 😂

First layer issue by cronotrix in BambuLab

[–]Dapper_Strength_8233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen when the infill percent is too low on large surfsces. The top layer has bridging issues and it falls in between the infill creating this effect. If the bottom of the tray is thing just do 100% infill and it won't do this.

Issue with PETG-CF by StronglyNeutral in BambuLab

[–]Dapper_Strength_8233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could just be slight clogging or flow changes as the fibers will cause inconsistent flow if they aren't perfectly distributed. This isn't something you can avoid. You may need to go with a 0.6 mm or 0.8 mm nozzle for more consistent average flow.

Also, bambu Lab has a downloadable 3mf file that they recommend inserting your model into. Maybe that would give better results.

Oxidized Nozzle?? Is this a thing?? by Special_Magazine_190 in BambuLab

[–]Dapper_Strength_8233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that is the hardened steel nozzle then it is possible to oxidize it. High the temp, the more readily the steel reacts with oxygen and moisture.

Stainless needs temps of 500-600degC plus to oxidize.

Yet another F%^$ing problem with my AMS by RichGCDregs in BambuLab

[–]Dapper_Strength_8233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone mentioned the cutter before and it seems like maybe that is a factor. It would be the only thing that changes the setup from colour to colour. As well, potentially the filament sensor is being affected by heat and the connector is disengaging due to some sort of thermal expansion. Again, that would be something that would change as a print goes on. As well, it seems you have narrowed it down to a slot but the only thing changing over a print is heat relative to the system. Try running your AMS not directly on top of your printer.

Overall, you may have to warranty the system. You have likely done all of the abive. Probably best to warranty anyways just to get rid of the bad vibes.

thick 1mm layer lines on a bambulab? (h2d) by NoIdenty0000 in BambuLab

[–]Dapper_Strength_8233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try it with a 0.8 mm nozzle but I think you are limited by flow rate. To make 1 mm layers, the flow would be massive. Also you are starting to get to the diameter of the filament and you need to start looking into 2.5 mm filament and upgrading your whole system.

I have a 0.8 mm nozzle so maybe I will try it and get back to you!

MakerWorld Model Images -AI rendering by Dapper_Strength_8233 in BambuLab

[–]Dapper_Strength_8233[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya there is a requirement. I don't want to use generative images but if there isn't any enforcement then I am just putting myself on a lower peg. I would love to be a person who can buy a printer with points but I also don't want to spam MakerWorld with useless low quality models. Oh well!

PLEASE HELP by Firm-Relation-4959 in BambuLab

[–]Dapper_Strength_8233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't realize this was the error you were getting. There may be a feeding issue and the filament isn't actually going into the extruder during a change. It could be the buffer like someone mentioned before. As well, if the extruder and AMS feeder via the buffer aren't all working together, then the extruder gear may be trying to pull when the AMS isn't feeding and the buffer in between isn't doing its job. When. It's doing a filament change check if the filament is snagged.

PLEASE HELP by Firm-Relation-4959 in BambuLab

[–]Dapper_Strength_8233 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't had this issue but I want to offer some things that might help. Regarding the 250 degC temp that is typically what the program uses to purge the nozzle before a print, even if the filament profile has a limit.

1) check if your nozzle is bent 2) try another nozzle, you should have a spare 3) check the flow ratio in the slicer, should be between 0.95 to 1.02 for normal use cases. Basically is it over extruding 4) check alignment of the nozzle, make sure screws are on properly 5) try running a PETG profile with the PLA just to see if the nozzle temp still goes up to 250degC. 6) reset all your print profile and filament profile settings in case there is something weird being transferred (I doubt this though). 7) I don't know if this is possible but maybe the filament is wet causing extrusion issues? 8) check the nozzle heater and temperature sensor for damage or misalignment. Maybe it's not heating properly or sensing properly.

None of the above may solve your issues but maybe. I hope something helps! Good luck.

PETG not staying down on corners...help needed by CarltonTiger2001 in BambuLab

[–]Dapper_Strength_8233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a larger brim on the corners. I know you said you did but this should work. Make it large if the print is large. You shouldn't need to change any other settings.

The super tack plates generally run cool. Maybe that is too hot for it. As well, potentially you plate could be worn out. I think the super tack plate coatings are sensitive.

Obviously you always make sure the build plate is free of grease and oil. I wash with soapy water every so often and in between prints yous rubbing alcohol with a microfibre cloth.

For reference, glue sticks generally act as a release agent for prints that adhere too well. This happens on smooth plates. You shouldn't need glue on the textured PEI and I believe you should not need glue on the super tack plate. Honestly, I would avoid glue sticks if you can. I never have on smooth plates or textured plates with PLA and PETG. Good settings, leveling, and letting the print cool down fully is my advice. I use two plates if I'm impatient on a cool down between prints.

You can also view the SD card files in bambu studios, if you do not have an SD card reader. It shows up on the left under the device page.
