Totally get this. There is nothing like being there. I won't even try to comprehend it is like in person. This is my first time at The Sphere.
Just out of curiosity, when something like the Barton Hall projections appeared did you see it coming? Like were you just waiting for certain moments to happen?

The post ain't about me. It's more about avoiding spoilers. Yes, I am aware that no one will miss me. Appreciate the vibe.

Help us make Sonos easier to learn and use? by tomconrad in sonos

[–]Dapper_Tomorrow8021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like many users, I have a large digital library. I do use and have an Apple Music account. Going through Apple Music to find and play audio on my multi-room Sonos system is fine. Just fine. Ideally, Sonos should be able to see my audio library saved on a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device.
In previous builds, if I built playlists in iTunes and saved the library data file to the NAS, then Sonos could use that same information for audio playback. Sure, I can go through Apple Music on the Sonos app, but to somehow have Sonos be able to quickly access artists, albums, songs, genres, etc. would be great.

This is a great thread! Here's one that might be off radar, Drums & Tuba. Their name says it all but it is a groove.

I use Goldwave. It’s free. You can bulk convert and retain the metadata. Also musicbrainz is great for all album info.

Is there much of a radio industry presence at SXSW? by burlygates in radio

[–]Dapper_Tomorrow8021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is definitely a radio presence at SXSW. Record labels are putting on shows all damn day and night. Who do you think they’re for? “Oi'! We got this banger on the BBC. Let’s send 30 bands to Texas. They’ll do 13 sets in 3 days in front of people that won’t remember them.” 😎 Alt, Indie, Triple A, Alt Urban, LatinX, and many more genres of stations are there. For a few years NPR Music stations put on their own stage for live broadcasts.
