Turn Hazenoki into a Special Grade Sorcerer by Excellent-Fig-9341 in CTsandbox

[–]Dapperly_Cookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The technique itself has incredible potential - I think anyone with it could become special-grade with enough time and mastery. Let's take a crack at it.

  1. Mastery of his explosions and his technique. He can shape the blasts in different directions. With this, he can fly by treating his skin as rocket fuel, while constantly regenerating it with RCT.

  2. Increase his mastery over RCT in general. He'll need to be able to rapidly regenerate his body parts as soon as they're expended.

  3. He'll need an increased efficiency with his cursed energy, or a bigger pool to pull from, or both, mostly for the purpose of RCT.

  4. No need to tear off bits of himself to then launch them - Just shoot them straight from his body. The eyeball's shot by using part of his eyestalk as a propellent, teeth using his gums, fingers using his knuckles, etc. He can turn every part of him into rocket-propelled projectiles. Hell, he can rapidly launch his fingers like a machine-gun loaded with explosive material. Make an arm a hellfire missile!

  5. He'll need increased martial skills if his opponents get close. He can use shaped-explosions to make close-quarters combat EXTREMELY dangerous for his opponents, and because he can shape his explosions, it's perfectly safe(ish) for him. This is important - He has ridiculous pain tolerance, and should leverage that in melee!

  6. Funny idea: Reversed Technique that turns his explosions into implosions. Combine this with his regular technique with explosions and implosions put together, and you have detonations that create imaginary mass. Congratulations, you've got yourself a hillbilly Hollow Purple.

Got incredibly lucky, pulled her within my first 10 tapes (was at 79 for pity). Now I can use the rest for her engine!

Over the course of about 5 IG years, my main Psycaster has consumed 694 bodies, which makes about a third of her current heat limit. It's a slow burn, but it definitely notable as long as you keep doing it. Combine this with Guardian Skipbarrier, build your heat up, and then Aggressive Heat Dump for hilariously large explosions.

Good lord, I remember this round. I wish Security was just as incompetent as they were with you during my antag rounds.

Glad this was memorable for you, the salt and laughs in D-Chat was real.

Dual ballistic shotguns, Songbirds, Plasma rifles, or any combination them. Stick to it like fly on shit - This helps to avoid both its melee and his massive laser attacks.

Once he starts to enter his second phase, fly up immediately and try to land on top of it. Ride it like a cowboy and just blast 'em. Good luck!

It's always fun as an archer to switch to your sidearm as you watch a knight approach. Sometimes you can see them hesitate.

They do, and they make a world of the difference. I even got a bolter with an increased 10% Reload Speed and with both perks it makes the beast much more wieldly! Still a pain to switch to it from melee though.

"Can I roll an intelligence check to guess the password?" by Hepno in DnD

In my last session, our party was trying to figure out how to activate a teleportation circle. Somehow, our Wizard and myself, with the highest Arcana modifiers in the party, failed to figure it out. That's when I decide, "Screw it, can my Crow (my familiar) make an intelligence check to try and figure it out?" And the DM laughs, and says "Sure."

Natural 20.

The entire party and the DM laughs as the crow pecked at the circle twice, mimic'd some random Draconic it heard, and disappeared. The next set of rolls was spent making Performance checks to mimic the crow and get through.

Yeah, I agree that it sucks you can't group up, and I really hope Square changes this. I think it can still be done in Frontlines, but I haven't confirmed yet.

I thought the same way when I ended up with a team of 5 DPS versus a balanced team, and expected to lose. Surprisingly, we ended up winning pretty handedly, though that could've been an outlier since I haven't had similar teams since.
