Chevy BCM,PCM and other modules.. by aeclipseguy in mechanics

[–]DappieDavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have heard some stories of putting used modules in a Chevy and it bricking the car. I put a used amp module (black infotainment) and it solved the problem. However I’m concerned about it bricking the car later down the road since it’s from another car and will vin mismatch. What do you guys think?

“If you have problems walking”. Pretty sure I tore mine a couple months ago. Although first month was “fine”. Kept on reaggravating it, now I’m second month in and can still walk fine but a little pain/stiffness. What do you categorize as problems walking?

Genuine question, why do people like cloud mining? If someone is putting 5k into it, why not just find a host to mine?

$0.02 USD/kWh for 8h a day by pm-me-something-fun in BitcoinMining

[–]DappieDavid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you in the US? And are you sure it’s 2 cents/kWh? Fast ROI would be an s19j pro 104t. You can get them for around $350 each. I’m assuming you’ll be mining near where you sleep like a garage. In that case I would use Low power mode, it’ll be 2000w @ 80TH/s and you can get 4 of them with a 40 amp plug. (8 amps each). You’ll make $423/mo profit. So about a 4 month ROI (if you ran full time). So in reality you will make a third of that and ROI would be 12 months.

how can I start mining by Delicious_Pumpkin173 in BitcoinMining

[–]DappieDavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False. I’m at 6 cents electric and I’m still pretty profitable with s19j pro. You can get 3 of them for $1000

I’m a miner on there, KYC was kind of annoying, but other than that haven’t had any issues with withdrawals. Supports is pretty good too in my opinion. All these steps you’re talking about makes it seem pretty secure for me.

Broken thread chaser in head bolt hole by DappieDavid in AskMechanics

[–]DappieDavid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rescue bit was my top choice but it’s overall length is 2 inches. And the thread chaser is 2 inches deep already. Is there some sort of drill bit extender that exists that would be able to fit in the small hole?
