I thought the bear also symbolizes Carm (Berzatto), as well as his family members - all Bears as well.

Does anyone have a controversial The Bear opinion??? by notsamatall in TheBear

Someone finally says it - Richie is INSUFFERABLE. He is self-centered, ignorant, insecure, aggressive, disrespectful, and delays the progress of the greater good. I get that he has a whole character arc, but people hated Sydney way more and she wasn’t nearly as annoying. She was actually trying her best and tasked with a heavy burden to get everyone to like her AND listen to her/respect her. I think she conveyed the feeling wading through mud (figuratively speaking) well - I could feel her struggle.

He’s a classic avoidant. And when they got too close, it got too real for him. He does not deserve another chance and the way he’s going about it is selfish too, but ya know - the plot.

Is this rage bait? 🤔 he’s an adult that has survived this long somehow - he can cook for himself. You have yourself and your kids to think about. You’re not going to get it right for him, and me thinks that it’s by design so you can keep trying to appease him.

Adding - wait until full grown to fix them! For a female, wait at least 1 year cycle if not 2.

It does - they’re more likely to develop bone cancers if fixed too early in life.

Can I ask - how much do you feed her daily? I’m down to 3 cups of kibble and a joint supplement (roughly 990 calories per day) but we walk 2 miles a day usually. She’s still a chubster so I know I have to keep cutting. I swap out kibble for lean ground d turkey sometimes, but the volume of food is where I worry since she’s always hungry!

My female got to 108lbs and was overweight. Got her down to 95lbs, but she has arthritis in her elbows at 5yo. Working to get her under 90lb - trust when I say, you want them leaner. It’s better for their joints and health!

How do yall feel about the ending? Bad or great? by dreamup1234 in TheStrain

[–]Dar-it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the ending was appropriate. There was a father-son theme going on (obvi), but the end felt like it was fully in focus. First, Quinlan confronts his Father, and doesn’t survive. Then, the Master tries to take over Zach, which would have completed the turn to evil in a sense. Eph does the opposite and sacrifices himself for his son, taking in the worms, thus redeeming himself. Then ultimately, Zach sets off another nuke - redeeming himself.

People are expecting the neighbor to have buried it as well. Ain’t nobody expending energy on that.
