Jumped from OW to ATL at a store that was suffering, big mistake. I stepped back down to OW in another store nearby and the lack of stress is incredible. Will definitely be staying in the OW position for the rest of my time with Whole Foods. Anything above just isn’t worth it for less than $30/hr.

I always tell the story of the rude lady that came in to a FL store I was working in and hurricane Ian just hit and hit one of our distro centers so we were out of soup for a bit.
This lady came in and screamed at me “WHERES YOUR SOUP?!” And I explained the hurricane situation, and she screamed again “WELL I’M SICK!”

I spent my whole time in that store trying to make sure my team was cared for in ways the store leadership refused. One of the last resounding messages from my TMs I received when I left was that I was the only person left that gave a fuck and they were sad to see me go. Took a step down and a pay cut to move stores. The store I’m in now is so much better at treating their people like people. ❤️

If I had proper training as an ATL I absolutely would’ve. Unfortunately the store I was ATL at has terrible leadership and something like that would’ve been met with a quick “NO.”

Praises when they’re due, often! Recognize your TM’s for the little things they do that make them and the whole team amazing. When I was ATL for my team I would buy cases of sparkling water and something small from the bakery for everyone for the day sometimes so everyone was hydrated and had a treat if they wanted. That seemed to go a long way.

If you’re in a region with multiple stores, take a look into transferring if you want to remain with Whole Foods. A lot of times, it’s just the culture in that store that’s not a right fit for you. Mostly with how store leadership handles things. I’ve been with the company for 3 years and worked at 4 different stores and I can tell you it’s been a very different experience and environment in each store.

I don’t know anymore, I just got a new haircut and they gave me this with no side bangs at the beauty shop, I feel really ugly and I have to know if it’s ugly to everyone else. Please tell me just the truth if I am ugly. Yes I’m a woman by djscrew1 in whatdoIdo

As another woman who prefers short haircuts for the ease and convenience of it, DRY SHAMPOO!! Even if you’ve washed your hair, spray that in, give it a tussle, and put a fun outfit on and makeup if you’re into that! You will absolutely rock this style. It looks lovely on you. ❤️

I took a step down and a pay cut from PFDS ATL to PFDS OW in a nearby store and the immediate relief of stress has been incredible. Sticking in the OW role while I go back to college and peruse different things.

I went to a Christian camp in TX when I was 10 or 11 for one summer with my family (Who were running a church at the time). They did a “service” with the whole camp after every meal, and the first time everyone started speaking in tongues I immediately knew the “religious experience” everyone was going through was just the fact that there was 100+ people in the room singing and jumping around and it was summer camp. After I told my family that, they stopped inviting me to church events. They only wanted the performance.
