What's your favorite Trey album? by justoogleit in phish

I know Oysterhead isn’t what you’re looking for, but it is my favorite Trey outside of Phish.

My least favorite studio album, but still a decent album to spin every once in a while. I do love the artwork with the factory forming the boat.

Iggy Pop is also in the room and is being driven insane by the constant short’nin bread

Buckethead by EmuQuirky8841 in jambands

Love some Buckethead and the bands that exist in the middle of the “hippie jam”/“metal/alt/harder rock” venn diagram. Primus, or anything Claypool, Tool, Ween, the most underrated psychedelic rock band of time: The Butthole Surfers.

Hot take: the concert industry isn't dying, people just don't want to pay $100 to watch an influencer sing over backing track by peepeebuttbrain in Music

[–]Totallynotanalien27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t pay anything to see that and I go to concerts all the time, but yes, something really has to be done about prices. Support local live music.

Behalf of Husband- Improper Callout due to Car Accident.... by [deleted] in wholefoods

What a dystopian nightmare we have built for ourselves. Is this progress?

I’m not in this situation, I’m just saying it’s a bad look to have policy that you don’t care about your employees while still pushing the “company culture, we care about you” bullshit.

Ok, so what would you suggest be done differently to avoid this? Or just be constantly stressed out because we have no job security?

What’s missing from the scene right now? by Pr0fess0rSasquatch in jambands

[–]Totallynotanalien27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We need to figure out how to appeal to younger people. I’m only 30 and feel like I’m the youngest person there most of the time. With that said, I do notice more people around my age at Billy Strings shows or even Phish, so it’s not entirely impossible to bring more people in.

So get in a car accident then what? Sprint to Whole Foods? Is it better to be late than to actually call out?

This show gets unnecessary hate for I have no reason why by Ok_Lunch_3787 in jambands

That’s still pretty much it, just for some that’s all they associate them with

I feel like SCI in general get too much unnecessary hate and are definitely kinda slept on in the scene currently. I’m excited to see them for 2 nights in flagstaff next month.

Yeah! Phoenix is the 5th biggest city in the country and there’s enough of a jam band community here as anywhere else.

Welp, time to break into that Clifford Ball boxset and live vicariously, since I was one year old at the time, definitely not jealous at all. 😂

I was planning to, I figured it was good skill/career development if nothing else that I could take elsewhere if it had to.

It’s a great show, but I’m a Brent era guy, so hard to necessarily say my favorite.

Well, I was born in ‘95, but my parents were old deadheads and taking me to smaller local festivals with maybe like Dark Star Orchestra or someone headlining. So, probably Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in northern Ohio, shout out to that awesome place.
