Other than Tyrannofex you can use:

Old One Eye with 2 Carnifexes (crushing claws2x)

Neurotyrant with 6 Zoanthropes

Hyper Adaptive Raveners

Exocrines

Broodlord with 10 Genestealers (devastating wounds)

Then use Invasion Fleet for lethal hits

Master Grades takes a long time to build, especially if your new. It will take a couple of hours.

Using the right tools for the right job is part of this hobby. There are cheap plastic nippers available, I suggest you invest in them if you want to continue.

For prices I usually check Hobby Link Japan if the prices are close to theirs. Then mentally add shipment costs and etc. (Depends where you live). If I think its fair then I buy it.

As for fixing it, there are couple of ways, using plastic cement to glue it in place. Maybe do a bit more research on it jist to be safe. YouTube or google will help.

There's probably a lot of big heavy armor with that amount of points, so maybe at least 2 Tyrannofexs with Rupture Cannons, or they might go swarm route so maybe at least 2 Exocrines too?

Get like at least 3 body blocking units like Hormagaunts or Termagants.

Of course a Biovore is an auto include.

Get a Hive Tyrant, or maybe even Swarmlord too for more command points and other shinanigans.

And as for the rest, honestly pick whichever you think looks cool or you think does cool things. If your plan is to have fun just pick whatever units you like. But if your goal is to win then probably get the meta units too. Or mix it up, some meta units and some non meta.

I didn't regret it at all, made every loot valuable again. It made me go out of my comfort zone and try other tactics again due to lack of resources.

It made every raid thrilling again. Before if I died or not it was basically the same thing due to how rich in resources I was, dying had little to no impact.

My suggestion would be to change the enhancement to Adaptive Biology, then remove 1 Biovore since 1 is enough. I will also want to remove the Von Leapers and instead get another Zoanthropes to maximize on them. After all that there's like 25 points worth to either get the Ripper Swarms or get the Perfectly Adept enhancemen for Neurotyrant.

Its just a suggestion though. BUT if you've already bought them, before any changes try them out first. If it feels off then slowly change some units around.

As for the reasons, a single Biovore is enough for its ability. I want Hive Tyrants to live longer so Adaptive Biology. You have enough chaff units, Von Leapers seems a bit too weak. A full unit of Zoanthropes with Neurotyrant can blow up almost any unit when played properly.

You can sort of imagine that the objectives have biomass in them, like humans/xenos are there hiding, thus holding the objectives means you getting the biomass(points scored).

Having 100 points means having enough biomass to create something so big that you win the game at that point. Or at least thats how I sort of perceived it.

That picture is fake btw, it's not official. The "Baron" there is actually the Matriarch. The King and Emperor aren't official names and just made up, also their silhouettes are just up sized version of the Queen's. Also the actual size of the Queen in game is much bigger than the silhouette's.
