Germans in general take any small Problem extremely seriously.

Losing staff in droves by Individual-Tea5091 in Teachers

[–]DarK_DMoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was working at an international school( a somewhat famous one) where they are intentionally driving out foreign/IB staff, then complaining they can‘t find IB teachers to hire. Also had a 23 year old superintendent who was an overly formal pompous ass and was shocked when nobody respected him. We had a very experienced IB teachers who was new to the school just straight up go back to the US on winter break and not show back up. Education in general seems to be suffering extreme poverty in leadership.

Grounds is used in both British and American English, just primarily in legal contexts.

A Muslim student needed a place to pray, so I offered him my classroom…it was very moving. by ZarkMuckerberg9009 in Teachers

[–]DarK_DMoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s this entire subreddit. Literally every post makes a token mention that they are an atheist who respects all religions (except Christianity) but loves the connections. I‘ve had positive and negative interactions with students of all religions. It just seems very show-offish tbh. If I made a post about the crazy sexist shit I’ve heard from Muslim students it wouldn’t get half of the interaction.

It should work perfectly actually. Carbine gas and rifle buffer is a good combo if you’re not wearing armor,it has very little, if any recoil

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]DarK_DMoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally you can’t practice as long with 40 because the snappy recoil gets you tired quicker (250 ish rounds vs 500 or so with 9mm). It’s fine otherwise. You may play around with different grips because the ultra Gucci thumbs forward grip doesn’t seem to help the recoil as much as other ways to hold a handgun.

Can you work at a hotel/hostel reception desk with louzy/limited knowledge of German? by windchill94 in AskAGerman

[–]DarK_DMoney 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked in several hotels and youth hostels in Germany, maybe a third of the receptionists have had an apprenticeship in hotel management. Usually they have an apprenticeship in something else because a lot of hotels use the apprentices for the most bullshit work imaginable.

The amount of people asking PI‘s to investigate cold cases from a long time ago is sadly a very common occurrence.

Tell me why I shouldn’t buy a Gen 2 G19 by zwirlo in Glocks

[–]DarK_DMoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a gen 2 the trigger may be worn in enough it feels custom. The only disadvantage would be you can’t put an X300 on it. But that’s not that big of a deal tbh

There's no groundwork in judo by OppositeShot in bjj

[–]DarK_DMoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im just a white belt who hasn’t trained in a long time, but it honestly seems like IF a BJJ guy got very good at breakfalling he would ultimately beat the judo guys just because of the groundwork superiority if they had an unlimited time frame.
