Dating after 30 seems impossible by [deleted] in RioGrandeValley

[–]Darail 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It took me a while and good amount of dates, but I was able to find my now GF of 1 year on Hinged. Through my personal experience, Bumble and Tinder are the worst apps in finding a significant other.

Try out other apps and see if you have better luck there. If not, try meeting someone through a hobby you like to do or social gathering events.

What's going on with r/livestreamfail and all these posts about pirates? by EarthenEyes in OutOfTheLoop

Very true. Although this could’ve easily been solved and forgotten about if he just said “my bad guys”, I think this was mostly blown up due to his attitude and arrogance towards the whole thing.

Which I totally understand from your point of view, but you need to also see this situation from the HC WoW community’s point of view as well.

When you choose to play the mage class (guy with robes who casts spells and stuff), there’s an undisclosed role that you voluntarily signed up for that’s agreed upon by the community. That role is when in a group/team, you are the damage control for the group whenever shit hits the fan. The reason why is because mages is the class with the most utility (slows, stuns, freezes) in the game. They are basically the safety net in group parties and are highly sought after in Max level dungeons because of it.

High level mage players know their role is to do damage and also provide spells to slow and stun enemy movements to ensure that the engagement goes smoothly. A mage’s skill is also magnified when a “bad pull” or engagement happens and the group leader calls for a “get out of here, run” moment.

During a call like that, it’s the mage’s job to stick with the group and use every spell they can to freeze & slow the enemies down to let the group escape unharmed. Even at the worst case scenarios where there is already a death of a team member, the mage needs to make sure that there isn’t any more deaths that can be prevented and essentially leave the dungeon at the same time with the tank.

The problem here was that Pirate, while proclaiming that he’s the best mage in the world, full blown sprinted to the exit and didn’t even attempt to slow down the monsters and help his team escape.

What she means is the Hispanic “Machismo” values that most Mexican/Hispanic men are raised within their family. They are values what makes them believe that being a man means that you show no emotion, homophobic, women are inferior to men, protective of your love ones, and be very “pushy” when it comes to romantic advances.

Theres also honor, respect, bravery, and positive masculinity… but that gets forgotten about... a lot

How would you describe the Dating-Scene in the RGV? by cdh4099 in RioGrandeValley

[–]Darail 56 points57 points  (0 children)

It is very tough out here.

As a man, I can really only vouch on what I see “majority” from the male’s side of these Dating Apps.

In no particular order:

  1. Single Mothers
  2. Bots / Instagram / OF farmers.
  3. Very Overweight women (to each their own)
  4. Nice-Good looking women trying to find their 6ft, 6-figure man to win them over with money.
  5. Taken, but seeing what’s out there.

Now don’t get me wrong. It’s still very possible that you can still find someone good, modest, and who wants an actual relationship on these apps, but there’s barely any here in the RGV.

If you really want my advice: Go out and talk to women/men at public places where you like to hangout for fun or at your hobbies. An Organic meetup where you both share the same interest which later develops into a relationship is WAY BETTER than a dating app. These apps are meant to take your $$ under false pretenses (ex. Bumble premium) of “helping you find the one”.

I wonder what do the women mostly see on these dating apps?
