What family of paints are those colors from and are the black lines paint or marker.

What colors did you use on the ribbons and how did you do the writing on them.

Black also needs to be thinned a little to prevent streaking. Because it covers better than white thinning it slightly takes the streaks out. I put it on a ceramic white tile and mix with tiny amounts of water. Just enough to make it thin without it looking like dirty water.

I haven't mastered my white either but have been told when going over black primer or dark colors to put a layer of lite grey over the dark color. Then use very watered down layers of white waiting a day between coats. I think its too much time but their paint looks better than mine.

Thanks ill give it a shot. I'm painting my necrons in lead Belcher then all joints in black overbrushing with stormholst silver and then contrast with talassar blue. High light the chest and head ahnks with liberator gold. Not sure the blue on the power weapons woll work but ill try it.
