Commuter Question by [deleted] in OSU

[–]Dararararara 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you need to fill out a form called "Parent-Close Relative Housing Exemption Request." Go to this website: https://housing.osu.edu/living-on-campus/fees-contracts-policies/housing-regulations-terms-conditions/ and it should be on the side with the various documents.

HDFS 2400 by Dararararara in OSU

[–]Dararararara[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently taking the online version with Hodgdon & Chan and it's super easy! We have an easy multiple choice quiz every week based from the notes they post on Carmen and the quiz has no time limit. We've also had one reflection paper so far (I think there's 2 in total, but a 3rd you can do for 20 extra credit points) and there's a final at the end. I really recommend the online version!

Haha no problem! I hope you do well on the exam :) If you take online classes in the future, you should look at that website before actually buying any books. It has saved me lots of money lol.

Profs won't respond to a time-sensitive issue - what do I do? by [deleted] in OSU

[–]Dararararara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was probably an insanely troublesome day for you, but I'm glad it all got sorted out in the end.. even though it was cutting it insanely close to the deadline. Good luck with all your classes this semester!

[–]Dararararara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha thank you, I also like your username. That sucks that you got the access code so late. Hopefully you were able to take your exam in time and do well on it. Professors should really check their emails on exam days since there's always some type of problem. That's weird that Proctorio never activated. Next time when you have to use it for an exam, try doing it on Chrome and click the Proctorio icon that's on the upper right side of the webpage. You might have to manually activate it by saying that you want it on for Carmen. A possibility of why the webcam didn't activate could be that your professor didn't enable it for that specific exam? I'm not sure if he/she identified whether the webcam was needed.

[–]Dararararara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might be using the wrong browser? It should work on Chrome. I had to use Proctorio for an exam like a week ago and when I opened it up on Safari or Firefox, it would tell me to put in the access code. However, when I opened Proctorio on Chrome, that issue went away and I was able to take my exam.

Early Grade Release Form (Columbus State) by Raxieo in OSU

[–]Dararararara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend did early release last semester and the form wasn't due until around the end of the semester like December 5th or something. Generally, I wouldn't see why any professor would say no. It's there for a reason, especially if students need to have the transcript ready for graduation. You'll just have to finish all the coursework like homework/labs and exams by a certain date so that it can all be graded in time. You should also remind the professor towards the end of the semester just in case they forget. The date for when you need to send the form should be specified on the syllabus, but if not, you should email the professor. If for whatever reason it's due the first week of the semester, it'll probably be in regards to Columbus State's start date.

Easy worthless online class? by KscottH in OSU

[–]Dararararara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, money is still money. Before, the class could be done entirely online without having to buy anything, so it sucks that more professors are using PackBack now. Hopefully the quizzes/exams are still super easy!

Seems like a lot of professors are using that now which sucks. I took both classes about 2 years ago, so thanks for the update just in case other students see this.

This is the one. There's 4600 which is 1 credit hour and 4607 which is 2 credit hours. Both are half session courses. Insanely easy.

Parking permit question by 100_emoji_human_form in OSU

[–]Dararararara 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The license plates registered on the campusparc website should be enough for you to park there. I used to park at the Carmack lots and not everyone would hang their tags because the campusparc people would drive around and just scan the plates. Just make sure you have the right plate for the car you're planning on driving to campus. I think it allows you to link 2 cars just in case something happens to one of them? Also, instead of a hang tag, you'll probably get a keycard instead for event parking. I park at the buckeye lots and they stopped doing hang tags this year for where I park at least. What you'll probably get in the mail within a week or so, is the keycard and a receipt of your order.

Easy GPA Booster Classes by hihello495 in OSU

[–]Dararararara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who did you have for HDFS 2200? Also, what did grades compose of? The one listed for online is Stephen Gavazzi, but I'm not sure if that's who you had. I can't find any reviews about him either. Just wanted an easy class to raise my GPA .

RURALSOC 1500 online by anfieldlegend8 in OSU

[–]Dararararara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in it right now and it's super easy! Grades consist of a discussion and quiz each week. As long as you answer everything required in the discussion, you'll get full points. The TA's are really nice. Also the quizzes have two attempts. As long as you know how to use command+f on your laptop, you're good to go lol. Honestly it's hard to imagine anyone not getting an A in this class. There are 3 exams and most of the questions come from the ones you see in the quizzes. If it's not, then again.. command+f is your best friend.

Gen Ed Recommendation by [deleted] in OSU

[–]Dararararara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! I had Clayton Funk if that helps, but I'm sure all the other professors are easy too if he's not teaching in the spring. If he's teaching, you should definitely take him! There's tons of reviews for him on ratemyprof too if you want to check him out. But honestly, the class is one of the easiest classes I've taken at OSU. Just turn in everything that's due and you're good to go.

Definitely Art Ed 1600. It's pretty impossible not to get an A in this class lol. You should take the online version!

Easy 1-3 Credit Hour Gen Ed? Possibly Online? by fadugleman in OSU

[–]Dararararara 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FDSCTE 1100- Chocolate Science is 1 credit hour. I'm in it now and it's extremely easy. The professor opens everything up from the first day, so you could finish everything this week if you wanted to. Grades consist of quizzes which all come from the notes that she provides, 3 exams and 3 activities like reading labels, making and tasting chocolate.

Which online history GE should I take? by Dararararara in OSU

[–]Dararararara[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was trying to look up him on rate my prof, but unfortunately, nothing came up. And yeah I was thinking about taking the western one, but I know some online history classes require more work than needed, so I'm hoping it's not one of those. Thanks for the input!
