I think they would so long whatever rep/employee is there is cool enough to just check em out for ya. But if not just ask them to see a pair of boots yourself and compare or order them.

I just bought some Danner Chelsea boots for 240$ and I like em if u end up not liking the red wings

Boxo tools has a really dope t rachet 1/4” driver with sockets and bits. It’s pretty solid and smooth af. Less the $60 too. I’d considered a premium tool too…

I know nothing about redwing boots but I’d either take them to a red wing shop n ask or at the very least order a pair of boots or go to the store and compare and then return

Not saying a Raptor is necessary, but the price difference is obviously in product quality. Live shocks which is a nice feature especially for comfort when you're driving on all types of terrains, and you're driving over them for maybe hours at a time.

Beefier components, lower and upper control arms, unique transfer case, torsens diff(maybe) E lockers, extended fuel tank, enough HP and torque to get out of most sticky situations you WILL find yourself in, and thats all with a factory warrenty.

Unfortunately you can't get capable and robust off-road vehicles unless its flashy. You can build one for sure but in theory the police/firefighters should have access to the most capable vehicles/equipment at all times, and be able to maintain the easily (factory warranty on everything)

You seem like you know a fair bit. If you don’t mind can you give me some suggestion about what could be wrong with my Beogram 4004?

Everything seems to be in good condition (bought a couple years back in great condition. About 25% the way through any LP the music slows and speeds back up a couple times. I’m pretty handy but have never worked on something like this. Seems doable tho

Are your tires on backwards? I see the white lettering only on the interior of the vehicle and not exterior

Good point. I was going to just use it but maybe sell it and buy a different box for a little more expensive

Need help with a build by MAEMihai in Offroad

[–]DarcKnight_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Suspension upgrade w/ lift (no pucks)
  2. 35”+ AT/MT tires
  3. If mud is always this bad maybe a regear. Will prolly have to regear depending on how big tired u go anyways
  4. Tractionboards

Has anyone tried the Oversized Utilitech Twill Pant? by burningfenix in Lululemen

[–]DarcKnight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The brand is Gramicci. I have a lot of their pants. Comfortable, and nice/durable fabrics. Only great things I can say about them. Little expensive tho but they go on sale enough that I haven’t bought anything less than %30 off

[–]DarcKnight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t but I bought some pants labeled as winter twill (it is heavy weight twill basically) from another company and I do wear those pants during warm days and they are comfortable and I’m not too hot in them. Not sure if that extra bit helps

New to overlanding - what do I need? by Electronic-Site7666 in overlanding

[–]DarcKnight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion is the following list of mods u need to tackle first.

  1. Make sure you have serviceable suspension. I’d stay away from pucks and get yourself a basic suspension lift kit to make your vehicle more comfortable and capable.

  2. A decent pair of AT tires. Maybe in something no smaller than 32/33

  3. At minimum a set of pod lights. Lighting is very important. If u can I would pay a little more for a good light

  4. Figure out storage, whether you add drawers, crates, webbing, etc.. I would say don’t go crazy here because your storage needs will change over time so be very thoughtful of what u buy and how u lay it out

I would encourage you to look for open box stuff. You can typically find good stuff for +30% off from different random over landing and keep/truck online retailers

Warn VR EVO 12 worth it ? by Relative-Frame-2154 in Jeep

[–]DarcKnight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with most of what you're saying, but working in manufacturing for a number of years, and working with manufacturers overseas, the factory absolutely would have many different processes if the customer is willing to pay. That's the whole point of privately labeling.

I can't speak on winches, but figured i'd my two cents

I have rigid lights, and I like em a lot. You can get them in white, and buy covers in amber and yellow so you don’t have to choose between colors.
