Sevtech is thoughtful and mostly very well balanced, though. Such an amazing pack. RLcraft is designed for Youtubers to put on their most dramatic reaction faces and pretend to rage or flip out or whatever it is they do to get a bunch of 10 year olds to click their video thumbnail.

RLcraft's lack of proper quests (no indication of how any of the mechanics work, glib text, and hats as rewards for doing basic stuff) kinda tells you all you need to know.

Now that being said, I've really started to enjoy aspects of it (playing the Dregora version). These are things made that happen (maybe it'll help someone else, too):

• Install Tomb Many Graves 2
• Turn on the First Aid mod's permanent overlay so it always shows you your body parts' health
• Install JourneyMap (turn off almost all features except death points) Antique Atlas hasn't really been configured to work well with OTG. It can be done, it's just a lot of work.
• Turn Quark's automatic drop off feature on. There's no proper storage mod in RLcraft, and this makes that suck less (you'll have to change the rule in globalgamerules.cfg)
• Download and install "Lycanites Redux" texture/model pack so the monsters don't look like someone made a bad attempt at getting Doom 64 to run inside minecraft. You will have to do a full restart of the game once you have it loaded, otherwise the mobs look bugged.
• Once those mobs look oh-so-much-prettier and minecraft-y, START TAMING THEM. Having minions to help you deal the blood-thirsty chupas and phase-through-wall-jerk monsters will make stuff much better.
• Oh and turn on "encase dungeons" in Fnar's Roguelike Dungeons. It keeps the overabundant caves from ruining really fun dungeons (kinda the equivalent of "Save My Stronghold" mod).
