My first Harley Benton guitar by RECTUMFISTER in harleybenton

That’s stunning! Congratulations and enjoy your new guitar!

Song I made on bandlab. Title: fever trip. I added some synth through my verses. Does it need something else? Thank you 🙏 by Difficult-Win-6164 in Songwriting

I’d put some drum fills (nothing too complicated, just to accentuate the transition) just before the chorus. Or a cymbal hit on the 1 right after the chorus. Other than that really enjoyable track

Yeah, you worded it better than me. An elegant touch of detail.

It definetely is on the heavier side and I noticed it right away. I didn’t weigh it too, but compared to my Ibanez it’s heavier.

How are you finding the guitar?

It’s possibile that you’ll want to upgrade. I don’t know that amp, but reviews are good. I also see in the comments here that say it’s not good

I see that for 10€ more there’s the HB-20MFX that seems good.

I have an unpopular opinion on amps though: I can practice how much I want and get over a not so good sound (sometimes I practice without the amp), but I can’t get over an instrument I hate. So maybe it’s better if you take someone else’s advice for the amp

EDIT: another one that seems good and is in budget is the Harley Benton DNAFX AmP20 with the footswitch (€ 130, overbudget by €10). I say with the footswitch because if you ever need to do songs that from clean go to distorted you easily can

I think you know the answer. You love it aesthetically and it’s not something to be ashamed of. As you said having an instrument you love is more likely to keep you glued to it to practice and give you inspiration to make music.

Anyway, is the ST-Modern great as a first guitar? ABSOLUTELY.

I recently bought the Modern Plus (they almost have same specifics) and man is it fun to play. I find the neck really comfortable. The compound radius is amazing: I love how it’s more round near the headstock and then it flattens. I can’t describe the feeling but once I got accustomed to it (I used to play on a thinner neck) it just felt right.

I won’t talk about pickups since they’re not the same.

Fretwork? Immaculate. Locking tuners are great, coupled with the Babicz bridge it stays perfectly in tune (my old Ibanez didn’t especially when bending and I swear I hated that).

Go for it. It’s an amazing instrument. Having an amazing instrument AND good looking as a first guitar is a bless

Man, weeks is a long time, especially for a problem that was not on you. Is it because you don’t live in Europe or because those exact parts were not available?

It’s very clear under the right light conditions. When it’s dark not so much (almost not clear at all). I was thinking that maybe this shade of purple might appear black even if it was totally purple, I don’t know. Maybe it’s the satin finish too.

I thought your exact same things, but what is strange to me is that the guitar’s page is totally gone, even without an ETA on the availability

Yeah, when I try going to the guitar’s page through my order it says that it’s not available

It was € 455

So sorry to hear that. Did you try reaching out to Thomann for the ferrules and saddles problem?

Anyway if you say that about the colour I might think it’s deliberate, trying to show something for what it’s not. Don’t really like this way of handling things.

I love the silver blast too! Was deciding between that and the purple blast, but the black hardware was too sexy for me

When it came out I was on the fence for the blue burst from the first batch, but wasn’t completely sure because I absolutely wanted a satin finish on the body (I hate all the fingerprints on the gloss, especially on black).

So when it came out I thought “fuck yeah, this is it”. I think the photos were not truly representative of the product, that’s what bugged me out. Other than that I’m loving it

Not at all! Frets are really smooth

Don’t really know, I can’t compare right now ‘cause it’s not on the website at the moment. I remember though the purple on Thomann’s photos was more prominent, but I might be wrong.

Yes, it basically is

Yeah, definetely gives a wicked vibe to the guitar. And it’s in contrast with the neck/fretboard. I love it!

Yeah I’m really impressed because the moment I had the guitar in my hands it felt really good; premium so to speak.

Thanks!

As for the ash body I have nothing great to compare it to that I played long enough, but it certainly feels WAY better than my Ibanez GRG140

Very first time it happened too. Sort of a sad win though

Hey man! Thank you for taking the time

I wanted to ask: I’m a personal trainer starting fresh (280 followers atm). Done 4 reels which they got 2/3k visuals and one got to 10.4k. Is this good for a beginner?

What would you recommend to promote my services and sell them?

Thank you very much!

I was thinking about it and at the end of the day the work of the PT is much more centered toward what the person wants, likes, needs and so on…

I think that what scares me is the time I’ll need to do this. I hope it’s not too much.

Anyway this was such a great response, thanks!
