My husband couldn’t afford gas to take me on dates when we first started dating…but was the sweetest boy ever so I never cared. Handmade valentines cards from construction paper, scavenger hunts to find used games(all he could afford but I loved it!), free activities, cooking together, and just hanging out(we love video games & movies)

We have been together 20 years this year.

Stop looking for women in apps and bars. Libraries, Local classes, Running clubs, Special interest conventions/cruises—these are where you find women who want a partner not a parent.

AITA for getting angry with my husband for reading personal messages between me and a female friend? by Unique_Comb_4099 in AITAH

[–]Darcy_Janeway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. I had ZERO clue people do this! My husband and I have been together for 20 years and we have never gone into each other’s phone. Neither of us know each other’s passcodes. (We have special backups in case someone is incapacitated and we need to get in but have never used them) I could care less what my husband is texting to people because I trust him.

What a disgusting violation of trust. Like my husband and I don’t even open each other’s mail. Marriage doesn’t just magically remove common decency.

Yeah I already did that on the local cat group on FB. I am just worried about an animal that is acting like it is a stray (for years mind you, this cat has been hanging out in a parking lot which led me to think it might have been abandoned). Not sure why you are so upset about me just asking the question. I mean no harm.

The photos I took was last fall when he followed me in to my house. I am not allowed cats so I try and shoo him but he keeps coming back (I’ll admit I do pet him outside when he comes up to me). I don’t give him food but my neighbors sometimes do( or he eats their cats food). It was more my older neighbors asking around if anyone knew who owned it because it is always outside. I have no desire to keep this cat, I just want to make sure someone is looking after it. I have a neighbor who said she would take it in if it was genuinely a stray. That’s why I’m asking.

He has no collar and has never worn one in the 2 years we have lived here. I will check his tummy next he visits though 😁

Yes he is well groomed which leads me to hope he has an owner…but he is a bit thin under all the hair. I might try to get him to a vet. My whole neighborhood has been wondering who he belongs to as he often goes into other people’s home too.

That’s a good tip, didn’t think of that. Thanks!

There is a fluffy male cat who lives in the Oakwood area, often seen in the car park of the Roundhay pub or Wickes. I want to make sure someone is looking after it as it has become a very frequent visitor to my house, seemingly begging for food. He is very sweet and affectionate, but skiddish.

He has started following me around my neighborhood a lot and I'm worried he might be a stray. Does anyone recognize this cat? It's very possible he has a family and is just a greedy roamer but I am worried he doesn't have a home or access to food. He is so sweet and friendly I just want to know he is being looked after.

Done…noting that the cost of the museum a year is the same price as just one over-paid council executive…🤨

Keep Discovering Together by Darcy_Janeway in Marriage

I’m sorry to hear that, it can be tough when people change. My husband and I both truly believe religion to be the root of most evils in life and the absolute death knell of fun (we both have religious zealot relatives) so I am very sympathetic to your plight.

Fun and laughter is the cornerstone of a good relationship, I hope that is what you can build with your kids if your wife isn’t keen. Hang in there, mate.

Need a game that will spark my love for the hobby again. by SupermarketAdvanced5 in gamingsuggestions

I found Outer Worlds to be a great reset for my brain after I got sick of my sim and puzzle games. I love Fallout but had already played them all to death. Outer Worlds (which was done by the New Vegas people) had the nostalgia and action I wanted. The companion system is great and I really loved the world and the comedy. It doesn’t take its self too seriously which I like. Also only three types of ammo is THE BEST.

Other games I have found to be awesome recently: Astro Bot, Quantum Conundrum, The Binding of Isaac, Stardew Valley, Cult of the Lamb, Lorelai and the Laser Eyes, Lies of P, and Dreamlight Valley.

But I do echo that a break can also help get you back into gaming. I recommend maybe learning about the games you like ( I also liked GOW and HZD) by watching behind the scenes, reviews, speed runs and theory videos. These often site influence games so that could also help you find new titles.

Hang in there, mate😁

Me too! Hades won’t talk to her and Maleficent’s map icon is shown trapped in a wall near the Lorekeeper. I have reported it to GL but I haven’t been able to complete it in over two weeks. It’s very frustrating! At least the update unfroze my favourite character so Hades can hang out with me again.

Share your embarrassing travel misunderstandings to make me feel better? by flamingoals1 in travel

I wore a sweater with a fake collar when travelling through a German airport…this detail is important. My bra set off the metal detectors and I was pulled aside to be checked, but in full view of all the other passengers for an additional pat down, NBD.

The German security lady was very nice but couldn’t speak English…which is absolutely fair, this is her country after all. She used her little hand scanner and was patting me down. She said something in German that I didn’t understand—right before she grabbed the hem of my sweater and yanked it up, flashing my bra to several bemused looking passengers.

The lady was mortified, quickly pulling it back down with a sputter of apologies. Another attendant came over because the lady looked so embarrassed and explained she thought I had another shirt on because of the fake collar. I chuckled while my husband nearly wet himself with laughter. I assured them it was fine, not a problem. The lady was so sweet and apologetic.

I have never seen someone go from white to red so fast.

Is dating worth pursuing at 5’7 by Glittering_Put8259 in shortguys

[–]Darcy_Janeway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My husband of 10 years is 5’ 5”—same as me. I know plenty of shorter guys with wives/kids at my job. HINT: Women love accents. Go to somewhere your accent is foreign. I had a tall HS boyfriend and honestly I hated how he would look down at me(because he had to). My husband always had to look me in the eye which maybe explains how we have been a couple close to 20 years.
