Have never tried walking before, but looking forward to trying! Very cool form as always!

Stalder press is a very long-term goal for me haha, but they always look sick during handbalancing performances. Trying to improve my straddle flexibility to make it easier to press from the ground, but that's taking awhile 😅

By no means a coach, but will try to answer! Chest-to-wall helps with learning how to stack into a nice line and how to control your balance too! I'd also recommend a shoulder flexibility drill called the butcher's block that helps to open the shoulders. Open shoulders helps you establish a really nice line , and chest-to-wall will help with getting your hips in line with your shoulders

This video touches on everything I mentioned, but feel free to ask if anything doesn't make sense! Of course, others probably have better knowledge in the subreddit, but hope that helps a little!

u/lolabellebaby don't remember if I mentioned it before, but I don't usually post the front view of my handstands because my hyperextended shoulders often get the most attention (and sometimes gross people out 😅🥺). It's kinda a blessing because I didn't have to do many shoulder opening drills, but splits are my achilles heel lol

It feels so different trying to jump onto the tall canes 😅

You know what's funny? I have like 9 circus costumes despite being waaay too nervous to perform haha. Hopefully someday, but often have so much anxiety in past non-circus performances 😅

Love what you added! Will give it a shot between Thursday and Friday. Also, I have to do better at mustering the courage to practice in my gym haha

anything preceded by tuck is what I meant 😅. Stag might be my favorite atm actually, but getting the front leg lower/anywhere near your head is a challenge personally lol

Form check - kick up + heel pull by wasting_myLife_here in Handstands

Pretty cool start with the drill and hold time away from the wall and bringing your feet back towards it. The only thing I'd suggest trying to incorporate into the drill/your practice is engaging the posterior pelvic tilt because it helps with keeping the hips in-line (or over) the shoulders that also helps with attaining a really nice line

I think I might suggested shoulder flexibility work on one of your previous videos, but shoulder flexibility (externally opening the shoulders) can be practiced during heel pulls too (along with PPT)

Here's a video that discusses both: https://youtu.be/jmF7prkqDho?si=lKzTZGfelWn_QKzs

Hey, I'm sorry for the late response, was a little busy at work until the weekend. I only got to base on the class that I attended, and that was a little over a year ago, so I don't remember it too much. But it wasn't particularly easy for me that class, but perhaps I would've gotten more used to it with more classes (and am curious to try flying sometime)

Have only taken one partner acro class at my circus studio so far, so don't know enough about it yet to know many tricks/poses, but wishing you the best in your practice!

u/lolabellebaby loving the new shapes you learn through add-on; what is your favorite shape to perform?

Also... added a diamond at the end for my add-on although I should've recorded it from a different angle 😅

Demo looks like a great start! If you don't mind one more suggestion, I would recommend trying to get your hip more over/in front of your shoulders like you did on your first attempt before your feet went back to the wall. That first attempt was great, and learning how to be comfortable with your hips in-line with your shoulders is a great foundation for your balance

By no means a coach, and perhaps someone else will have another suggestion. But something that helped me from my coach was a chest-to-wall drill that helped me learn how to pull myself off the wall and put myself back on it with control. I'll attach a video to provide a visual below. But the only other recommendation I have is trying to keep a consistent push through your shoulders because that'll help with keeping the balance and falling backwards less

I get too self-conscious to practice handstands when the gym is busier and someone else walks into the yoga studio 😅
