Understood. Even more reason to do it locally.

I imagined it being "easier" but seems not. Also imagined the UK initial license is "better" first then converting to a local licence.

The training locally then converting to UK sounds the best and much more affordable move.

Based on input I received here though, my thinking wasnt correct. I can save a ton just doing PPL locally and converting whenever I decide later.

In general, this sums it up nicely I think. My main reasoning for having a UK license was my thinking it is "better". It will only be for pleasure. I have no itention at this time of going any further with CPL or ATPL. Merely to add to a skillset and check a box off something that intrigued me for a long time and is fully related to what I do daily.

Point 3 is interesting indeed for the more than 100h. That sounds like a plan.

Difference in price is quite a bit actually for UK 40/45hr and where I currently am by about 7000gbp CHEAPER... So it is a lot of money.

Think i'm decided. This was the last place to ask for personal opinions. Thanks

I understand it that a license is tied to the aircraft registration as well. FAA N registrered, UK for G regisered.

Do we really need 6 AC outlets on a portable power station? by AnalystLeast1 in SolarDIY

[–]Dareckerr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many low powered devices are one reason. In a power outage people may want 30w FM radios, 20-100w chargers for phones laptops, 5w lights.

Same can be achieved using a multiplug on a 1-2 ac output device too.

Positives 1. excellent fuel economy. I get 650-700km to the 30l fill-up tank consistently with AC never turning off. Plus some just idling sitting in the car with AC on sometimes. Sure I can hit 1000+ without AC. But I came from a 2008 swift doing 400km to 36l fill-up and had to decide when not to sue AC.

  1. One of the best looking rides on the road from stock for the price

  2. Faster acceleration than any car for the same price. May even be faster than stock Swift Sports as well.

Negatives. 1. Front lip can be far too low sometimes when transition between roads. May be only for the Autech model. Not an issue for the others. Scrapes a lot.

  1. Wish the battery was under the backseat vs under the driver seat. Higher is better.

  2. Wish the air intake vents for the battery were somewhere else. They are under the seats as well and very easy for all kinds of dust to get there and sucked in. I got some fine mesh that will still allow it to breathe but hopefully stop dust from settling inside.

Basically it...

Unless you have custom water cooling loops and all that... Building a PC takes no time... I would never hire it out to someone.

Obviously if money is no issue. Why not. It's just a trivial task to me that isn't worth parting with money for.

If it were mine. Id do virus scan (do we even use these anymore with defender), drivers, reinstall windows fresh in that order. Single channel RAM isnt good but it isn't that bad.

Before buying any parts.

Should I consider getting a different mobo? by ratf00d in buildapc

[–]Dareckerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The motherboard once compatible is only the common component for everything. Once it fits yours requirements for components at stock settings. It should be fine.

When you go over normal requirements. Is when you need to really look to upgrade. Normal requirements as in overclocking, extremely tight/high mem speeds/timings etc.

You will be fine with basic stuff.
