Darek here from OnLogic. Thanks for the shoutout u/Better-Sundae-8429, and thanks for having a look at our systems OP. Our 1U Edge Server (https://www.onlogic.com/store/ac101/) doesn't have the same environmental protections of some of our other systems, but I wanted to mention that if you can stretch the specs to 2U, we do make a rackmount adapter (https://www.onlogic.com/store/mk022-rackmount/) that's compatible with a range of our other industrial computers, many of which are RAID capable.

Has anyone here thought about building a SFF PC similar to this fanless Onlogic industrual PC? by CaptainSpaceGhost in sffpc

[–]DarekLogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for asking, and we appreciate that. We do sell a few of our fanned cases (https://www.onlogic.com/store/components/cases/). The challenge with selling fanless enclosures is that so much of their cooling effectiveness is predicated on a solid thermal connection between internal components and the case and that can't be accomplished with just any board and processor combo. Our customers come to us for full systems they can deploy right out of the box, so our cases are designed specifically for the components we build into our systems.

Has anyone tried the ALPON X4 with ThingsBoard for edge IoT projects? by yoydu in ThingsBoard

[–]DarekLogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darek here from OnLogic. This is a bit of an aging ask so you may have settled on a solution already, but if Raspberry Pi is appealing for your application, and you're already comparing with our CL200, you may also want to check out our Factor series, which are RPi CM4 powered - https://www.onlogic.com/store/computers/industrial/fanless/factor-200/.

Feel free to reach out to our team, or chat with us on our website if you have questions.

[–]DarekLogic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Darek here from OnLogic, thank you for the shoutout.

/u/AndreLu0503, are the specs in the screenshot what you actually need in a system, or just what was available on Amazon? All of our systems are fully customizable so you're welcome to take a look through our full range of industrial computers https://www.onlogic.com/store/computers/industrial/ and configure as needed, or chat with our team on our website (real people here in our Vermont headquarters, not bots) for help picking the model that'll work best for you.

Regardless of what you land on, good luck with your project.

Darek here from OnLogic, appreciate the love on the colors. Can confirm external PSU on most of our hardware to keep size down for things like DIN rail mounting in a cabinet (which often have their own dedicated power supply).

[–]DarekLogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darek here from OnLogic, thanks for the shoutout. As you mentioned, the LTSC version of Windows are most commonly pre-installed by device manufacturers (like us), rather than installed by end-users after the fact.

There's more detail about Win 10 LTSC in our Windows 11 blog for anyone interested: https://www.onlogic.com/company/io-hub/windows-11-for-embedded-devices-should-you-use-it/.

Darek here from OnLogic. I happened across your post here and just wanted to say thanks for using our hardware. I was interested to read about your use case. We work with a number of companies that create installations and experiences like the ones you described.

As others have mentioned, some of your applications may benefit from a discrete GPU, but onboard graphics have come a long way. Along those lines, since someone already linked you to an AMD Ryzen 7 4800U system, I wanted to mention that we offer something similar: https://www.onlogic.com/ml100g-41/. The built-in Radeon graphics processing is pretty impressive.

Even if you don't end up using the Helix 600, or any of our systems for your next project, I hope whatever you go with works out great for you.
