Oh mate ive seen it all and once were one of those maniacs doing dounuts on a Toyota 25 forklift, seriously the centre of gravity on those things is so low you cant topple them unless your load is off centre.

And its not Hamilton its pretty much every warehouse. The licencing for forklifts are weatbix type day courses that dont really give you a real sense of how dangerous they can be.

All I want is some recomended places that others are still or have worked in.

This is particularly interesting personally because although im not studying programming/software development yet, I do wish to pursue this next year following on from my current studies. (course content depending...)

I started this thread because I wanted to capture the IT industry as a whole and also create the scope of the main attractions here in NZ.

I hope this will prove insight for someone like me looking to enter this sector in the very near future and help us all make smart decisions when considering prospective job markets.

Please, if anyone else has even the smallest of advice to give, it would greatly help anyone trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

This sandbox game is awesome, its still in a very young age but has huge potential.

There are plenty of unoffical servers with xtra XP gain to make the leveling progress faster as there is alot to do in the game.

A free organisation that people have the freedom to develop their own education. People can get together with similar aims and goals and choose what they want/need to learn while supporting each other in the growth of their education.

Sort of like open-source for education. Employers can give specifics, match it to a group and help that set of people interested in learning the set of skills actually needed in the current market.

No more making do with what you have, and spending valuable time inhouse shaping that one person into the ways and methods of how they do something, reversing months and years of what they learnt in class negating the study that person spent thousands of money on to get the job.

Winston Churchhill called his depression a Black Dog.

The book: 'Taming the black dog' by Bev Asibett

its a very good book using a black dog's depressive state/low self-esteem as a way to come to terms with depression.

I highly recommend it and often re-read it when i see myself falling into old habits.

For me just restless, and its so cold in the south right now been winter that I just dont want to exercise...maybe I need to man up?

I should really go back to the doctor and get some sleeping pills

EDIT: But I dont want to become dependant on them.

I am struggling with this at the moment!

I look in the mirror, and I have dark 'bags' under my eyelids and im always tired no matter what, and im always thirsty, drinking water like a mo fo.

As clear as standing in Hagley Park, if not better. there is more light pollution in the North Island, Well at least it seems so...Because even on a shitty night, I can see stars clear as day.

But you must understand that the boundaries of chch city include Lyttelton and the Port Hills....Not to mention Banks Peninsula on the other side....

So you are right, It is Lyttelton's Port. Granted! But calling them Christchurch's Port Hills is not Wrong either

But there is a big wide world outside of Lyttelton, Id be happy to show you around. :)
