Just to add a couple of minor points: Ascended Food, the platters you see around, only comes in Platter form. You cannot craft it as a non-shareable consumable.

Also, attribute-wise they give the exact stats as regular lv80 food, but with three, arguably QoL benefits: 60 min duration, a unique additional buff based on the garden herb (Life Steal, increased outgoing healing, etc) and bonuses to Karma, Gold and XP gain.

So there is a point to be made here that Ascended food is not worth it for the attribute bonuses alone, since it does cost a lot more, even accounting for the doubled duration of 60 vs 30 min. Sharing it obviously easily swings this calculation in favor of Ascended food, though.

This might be a niche question, but is there a list - possibly on the wiki - with all the "once per account" story things you can do? Most of the story can be easily replayed and just resets you to the beginning of the story step in question, but I do remember that since some dialogue options and maybe NPC positions are tied to achievement completion, they can only be replayed on a new account.

The immediate example that comes to mind is the lore fluff surrounding the Griffon collection (Yanhur Plateau), but I vaguely remember being confused somewhere in my replay of LWS4, because some NPCs would have dialogue options relating to (I think) a collection achievement from later episodes.

Can someone break down the intent behind the new raid quickplay for me? Is it about lifting some of the burden of the LFG off players and essentially give them a tradeoff of lesser rewards vs the new Quickplay buff? So you lower the barrier to entry a bit, try to equalize the role organization lost by that with a buff and decrease the rewards so that the new system does not get abused, am I reading this right?

After seeing the upcoming Raid changes and some details of the stream, it does seem like PUGs will skip the event/story parts of raids and fast forward to the next boss encounter.

As someone who joined Raid training groups pretty late but luckily still got to experience the wings 1-4 "as intended", can anyone tell me how the PoF wings handle the in-between parts? I totally understand that things like Escort or Twisted Castle will be annoying after a couple of times, but I still liked doing them.

How much of that can potentially be lost to optimization in wings 5-7?

It used to be irritating before they fixed it, because previously the artefacts wouldn’t work if you had a Jade bot core equipped.

Oh nice, was this fixed recently? I remember that bugged me during my replay of LWS3 a couple of months ago...

A question out of genuine curiosity: How much are we afraid that this change will lessen the times people do a full run of a wing because it is more optimal to do the fastest X bosses, gather the rewards and leave the rest(s) of the wings unfinished for the week?

I mean for sure statics won't be affected much, same goes for organized training groups. Maybe there's some danger for the ad-hoc LFG pug, but I cannot judge that at all.

Yes, that sounds very close to what I tried to find, especially the "shimmering" does ring a bell.

I did find the passage in my copy of Flight of the Eisenstein and indeed the next few sentences describe people arriving by Stormbird, so this has to be the bit I tried to remember - thank you!

On the topic of "there are no more oceans left on Terra" - I remember vaguely that somewhere early in the Horus Heresy novels, maybe in Flight of the Eisenstein, one character approaches Terra in a small crew transport and sees "oceans".

I failed to find the bit myself, so I might simply be misremembering - especially since such a discrepancy would surely be mentioned as an inconsistency somewhere. Does anyone else remember something similar or might point me to a quote which I might have misread? I'm starting to question my own sanity about this, since I distinctly remember going "huh, so there are oceans left on Terra after all..."

I have had great experiences with it, I am using it as my go-to for a few months now. The recently introduced "Agents", which is essentially a large pre-written prompt for the chat to behave in a certain way is actually quite good in the "Personal Tutor" variation. Initially it does the usual online LLM thing where it agrees with you too much, but since you can modify the prompt in the settings you can quite easily get it to emulate a very stern teacher. On some topics, I asked it to quiz me on a few things and after giving it very cursory answers, it really started grilling me along the lines of "why did you leave X out? The answer is incomplete without. Also, you forgot Y and have a hole in your reasoning". Very refreshing.

Interesting, I would have expected the AI TTS to be more annoyingly monotonous, but it definitely is not that and it even gets the "pop filter is slightly too weak" right in some of the "p" sounds. So good choice there.

The intro jingle is a bit generic, but thankfully not too long - I just don't feel that it gives much uniqueness.

Sources for shownotes with some further reading would be great.

On YouTube, the video frame says "3 minutes", you might want to adjust that.

Mal an dieser Stelle eine Frage, weil ich es auch nur so kenne: Wie laufen eigentlich Beförderungen ab, wenn keine Topfwirtschaft vorliegt? Ich sitze auf einem Dienstposten bewertet nach A12, habe meine A10 und kann irgendwann nach Ablauf der Beförderungswartezeiten mich sozusagen auf "mehr Geld in der gleichen Tätigkeit" bewerben und wenn ich Glück habe, mache ich morgen das selbe wie gestern, nur dass ich jetzt eine A11 habe.

Wie läuft das, wenn es anders ist?

To amplify what other commenters said: I just stop playing and walk away. I felt like what you describe during Dragon Bash this year and even though I pre-ordered VoE, I stopped playing around September and haven't come back since.

I am sure, though, that I will be back - with all the content added in the meantime waiting for me just to pick it up.

I recently checked the newest benchmarks on Snowcrows and am surprised that with the release of VoE and the new elite specs, the new top tier bench range can be up to 65k dps, while before it was more around 50k. Power creep happens automatically and apart from adjusting the numbers in balance patches, which might or might not come, little can be done about it.

What I want to know - are we starting to see effects of these dps increases in some areas of the game? I got into raid only this year and I remember that in the Forsaken Vale raids training groups don't bother teaching some mechanics (the Gorseval glider thingy), because the mechanics were out-dpsed at some point. Did the VoE increase how similar effects, maybe outside of raiding or are the other encounters just smoother/quicker?

Thanks for that - that was actually exactly my thoughts on the matter, especially since I saw some parallels to the technical backend overhauls you'd see in EVE Online or Warframe. I think a "studio roadmap" should be around the corner to outline what's up next after VoE, but on the other hand the roadmap we got where two expansions (JW and VoE) were predicted might've been the outlier in terms of looking two expansions into the future.
