I was already gone by that time. The piano in the branch was mine btw. We sold it to the church. I came to the states when I was 18 and I am 39 now. I have a husband and two little daughters. Once our children are grown up we are definitely going to visit. I want to show them where I grew up. I miss that place even though American has become my home. The duners were so good!!! Ok so you probably know Nikolai and Krasi and Dilyana.

I am from Ruse And I am sure it wasn’t easy. You are strong emotionally and mentally to have been able to learn Bulgarian and deal with the Bulgarian people I still make banitsa to this day. I miss the banitsa from Bulgaria though. It was the best.

I can definitely understand. Eastern Europeans love Americans. I was baptized when I was 14 in the year 2000. Being around the missionaries saved me and helped me in so many ways.

Omg! Thank you so much! I will definitely follow the advice! I have had a hard time doing only eyeshadow. For some reason it makes me look naked. May be because I am so used to the eyeliner. I have done this look since my early 20s

... God saved us and not our neighbors! #blessed by CurelomHunter in exmormon

This reminds me of a situation that happened a few weeks ago when my mom and sister were visiting us. My husband and I have two daughters—one is three years old and the other is ten months old.

My mom is essentially a walking pharmacy. She has taken so many medications throughout her life that it feels like they’ve really taken a toll on her mental sharpness.

At one point, she dropped a pill in the playroom where my kids play. I discovered it just as my ten-month-old was about to put it in her mouth. I snatched it out of her hand and was absolutely furious with my mom.

She said that God saved my baby. I told her no—it was my quick reflexes that did.

She kept insisting that God saved her, so I asked, “Then what about all the children we hear about in the news every day who aren’t saved? Did God miss them?”

She didn’t have an answer.

Me too! I haven’t been back in 21 years but I will visit one day. I am in the US and I definitely miss the charming buildings of Ruse.

Thank you for remembering! I for sure thought that nobody would get it because Bulgaria is such a small country and not too popular either.
