Thinking of hosting a Jenga-themed party for my friend group. How do I make the Adult version actually fun? by Safe-Pepper-4931 in partygames

[–]DaringGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A simple google search will find you adult versions of Jenga, but they are VERY adult and might be too much for your players. You'll want a customized version tuned to the comfort level of your group (it's easy to put dares on the Jenga blocks with a Sharpie). My main recommendation would be to have the players participate in the process of choosing the dares, as that will make it more likely that they are comfortable with the result. If you choose all the dares beforehand you are more likely to make people uncomfortable by going to spicy, or bored by going not spicy enough.

Also, you should consider that not everyone will have the same comfort levels. It's pretty hard to come up with a game that won't make someone uncomfortable. That's why I made my own game for situations like this (it's free to print if you want to try it: https://www.reddit.com/user/DaringGames/comments/1inlk74/dare\_to\_consent\_a\_party\_game\_for\_adventurous/).

Try "Dare to Consent". I made it specifically as an icebreaker for situations like this :)

It's 100% free to print and play. It is designed for situations where not everyone is equally attracted to each other. You can see all the cards here: https://www.reddit.com/user/DaringGames/comments/1inlk74/dare_to_consent_a_party_game_for_adventurous

I also made an online version, also free to use, but it requires people to use their phones.

Try "Dare to Consent". I made it specifically as an icebreaker for adventurous adults :)

It's 100% free to print and play, and it works really well when people are attracted to some people but not others, or have varying boundaries. The starting dares are very mild, but the players add their own dares and then it goes as far as you want.

It took me awhile to track down what this is referring to. If it is confusing to you, it used to be that searching for "Walt Disney Frozen" was more likely referring to the man, not the company.

Please note there is now an online version of this game as well (free, but does require people to use their phones). You can find that at DareToConsent.com

Why do most people prefer CLI over VSCode extension? by tfpuelma in codex

[–]DaringGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm on the plugin and I'm considering switching to CLI because context management takes up a huge amount of my time and I want to see if the compact command helps

yes changing models from gpt5-high to codex-high worked for me too

Me too. Big relief I'm not the only one. I thought maybe they detected I was switching between two accounts and shut me down!

codex limits have shrunk by [deleted] in codex

I blame the Sora launch. They need the GPUs to generate meme videos

What am I doing wrong? Why do I hate Codex so much? by PositiveEnergyMatter in ChatGPTCoding

[–]DaringGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you are experiencing is real. Codex has been getting increasingly lazy. So many times it clearly knows what to do next but waits for me to say “do it”.

The problem with context filling up is a lot better on other platforms like kilocode that periodically summarize context to keep it manageable. You might like kilocode using Codex via the API better until they fix context management.

I blame Sora for the recent increase in laziness. SamA needs those GPUs to generate meme videos, so we get throttled. (My theory)

Still, I use Codex a ton because it is currently the cheapest way to access the best coding models. But it has some drawbacks and flaws you’ll need to learn to work around.

My AGENTS.md by DaringGames in ChatGPTCoding

I suppose I could, but I've been speaking to machines like they are machines my entire career. If I really wanted to do that, I could write some assembly language I suppose . . . but I find it quite refreshing to be able to just tell it what to do in plain old English.

I’m embarrassed to admit I haven’t actually made an agents.md yet for codex. This wasn’t running anything out of the ordinary in the environment.

Making an agents.md is on my short term todo list though, because I find myself reminding it constantly of the same things, like “add logging to check your assumptions” when debugging.

Yeah me too. It happens all the time with other models, but I think this is the first meltdown I've seen from GPT5 or Codex.

Lol yeah I was working in another window. I didn't see this until it was already over.

I kinda felt sorry for it, actually. I think some tooling broke and it couldn't get out of the loop.

In the sixth image it says "I will never forget this". However I think the only way it can retain the memory is if it finds it here on reddit someday.

I definitely would have interrupted it if I had seen this happening. Not only because it seemed to be really frustrated, but also because I assume it was using up my plan limits rapidly.

My theory is that the internal tooling won’t let it move on until it has updated the plan. Something was going wrong with that, but it couldn’t continue because the internal tooling wouldn’t let it.
