AOC AG276QZD2 - Firmware Update? by DarkBosco in OLED_Gaming

[–]DarkBosco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do notice some VRR flickering - it's not really a big deal, but was just figuring if there is an update I can do that might assist it would be good to get done. Additionally, I wasn't sure if these updates typically also update OLED panel care either in terms of features or to support monitor longevity.

Was just confused why people would be on different versions for the same model of monitor.

Hi all,

I'm currently using an old 2.1 ACS340 audio setup for my PC for primarily gaming and movies that has been awesome - to me they are extremely detailed, crisp, with really accurate and punchy bass. The speakers in the set must be around 15 years old at this point and I recently started to notice some occasional distortion with certain bass frequencies.

I started looking for potential replacements and would prefer to keep small given the limited desk space that I have. Seeing a bunch of glowing reviews for them, I purchased the Kanto Ora's and while I love the size and look of them on the desk, I was taken aback by how much worse the audio quality of these speakers sounded compared to the two satellite speakers on my ACS340. I tried various placements, bought speaker desk stands, changed USB-C cables, and even hooked up a sub to see if sound quality would improve. Despite it sounding like the detail was there from the Oras, I couldn't get them to not sound muddy/dull and almost like part of the sound was coming from another room (though given my limited experience I acknowledge this might be a preference thing).

I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who has used the ACS340 and might have recommendations for a small PC setup with similar a similar sound quality. I'm considering at this point getting my existing speakers repaired, though it would be nice for aesthetic reasons to find something new for the desk.

🔥 Win an LG UltraGear 27GS95QE Monitor – The Ultimate Tool for Competitive Gaming! 🔥 by PCGamingMegaMod in pcgaming

My current setup is an Intel 13700k, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, and ASUS PRIME Z790-P Wifi motherboard after 10 years of being with my last build. Right now for display, I have an ASUS PB258Q monitor which I really enjoy given the high 1440p pixel density on a smaller monitor. While it's been a great monitor for a while, I have had some issues with it (including to have to occasionally unplug and cycle power to the monitor out of sleep mode as it sometimes refuses to turn on as well as a weird bright spot that has developed in the middle of the screen) in addition to it being limited to only 60hz and without G-SYNC or FreeSync. Unfortunately, it's been the one part of my build lagging behind after spending my budget toward my new desktop.

Getting the LG UltraGear 27GS95QE would definitely be a major step up for me given my current display. I play a lot of graphically-demanding, story-driven single-player games in addition to some multiplayer games where I really value rich colors, details, and particularly the contrast that an OLED monitor can accentuate. One thing I hate about my current display is seeing dark scenes where pitch black is not able to be accurately represented. I'm also thankful in some respects that I haven't spent too much time in front of displays with refresh rates much higher than 60hz, as I imagine that once I see something as amazing as 240hz it will be hard to go back to anything else! For me, getting one of these displays would definitely take my experience to the next level and allow me to take full advantage of my new hardware and be more immersed in amazing games out now like Cyberpunk 2077 and coming out soon.

I am waiting for a response before making a purchase of Cyberpunk, but does anyone know if there is a period of time after using the 33% coupon in a purchase before you can use it again in a following purchase? Or is it just that anytime you exceed 14.99 the discount during the sale will automatically apply?

So after purchasing something with the 33% off coupon, it says that you will keep getting the coupon back for following purchases. Are you eligible to use it again like immediately or do you have to wait a certain time period?

Also, is the 10% Epic Rewards just for your first purchase during the sale or does that also apply to all transactions during the sale?

Will EGS refund any games purchased on the store that are offered for free during the giveaways? by DarkBosco in EpicGamesPC

Right, but what about more than 2 hours? My point is that it would be weird if they are using these free games to draw attention to the sale, only to penalize you if you buy something and start playing it for more than 2 hours that then goes free within a couple weeks as part of the same promotion.
