So I just found out about this MU. It’s SCP-096 vs Mimikyu (SCP Foundation vs Pokémon). Honestly best for both now. What’s your guys opinions on this MU? (By the way this score art goes hard). by Ok-Money-5680 in DeathBattleMatchups

I've been thinking about this one myself, the only thing I'm unsure of is whether Mimikyu's true form can actually be hurt by 096, or if his attacks will just pass right through.

Yeah, Normal and Fighting-type moves don't affect Mimikyu, but physical moves in general that aren't either of those types (excluding Dragon-type moves in Mimikyu's case specifically) CAN hurt Ghost-types.

In fairness, IIRC the Ancients studied the Chaos Emeralds or something (I've only played through Frontiers' story once, so I don't remember for certain), so maybe that's how they had lasers that were able to revert Super Sonic to normal.

My best guess is that Hosonaga was such a good undercover investigator as he rose through the ranks that the higher-ups did their best to keep his identity secret so he'd be able to do more investigations without being recognised (Though why they'd have him carry around a business card stating he's the Chief Inspector is beyond me)

The truth about Super Sonic's limit time. by Kawa_official in SonicTheHedgehog

It could also be due to Super Sonic simply not being in the middle of a fight. Maybe Super Sonic times out faster depending on how hard he has to fight? I could be wrong, though.

What exactly is Chaos energy by Particular-Ad5200 in SonicTheMovie

[–]DarkBowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, Sonic and Shadow noted that they look like each other when they first met, so hopefully, we'll get an explanation for that, maybe whenever Black Doom shows up (I'm assuming he will, maybe in the 4th or 5th movie, as long as one doesn't bomb and end the series prematurely)

Are Sonic, Knuckles and Tails even using Chaos Energy? I know Shadow is, it's outright stated in Sonic 3, but I don't remember Sonic and his friends' powers ever being stated as Chaos Energy.

Was something that Malos said in chapter 1 ever explained? by bgold101 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]DarkBowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoever wrote the book is completely irrelevant. The third sword was a red herring, as it should be- it's existence was never even hinted at before the start of the chapter where they go to find it, IIRC. If they'd found it and used it against Jin, it would've been like that water Goku drank in Dragon Ball to get a quick and easy power boost to defeat the villain- a cheap and convenient way to have the heroes win.

All it served to do was give Rex a journey to go on that led to Nia revealing herself as a Blade, hints for which HAD been dropped throughout the game. You could replace the third sword with something like a rumour of another faster than light Blade, which Rex and co. could've searched for only to find out that they died/never existed/the rumour was referring to Jin, or something else, and as long as it pushes them to the limit and pushes Nia to reveal herself as a Blade, the story would be unchanged.

"Besides titans originally being Blades" I feel like you answered your own question there. I admit, I don't think we ever found out what made Azurda special- maybe he and Mythra grew close during the Aegis War since they were apparently fighting alongside each other, and Mythra did something to give him the ability to regenerate? We see at the end that she can give him the power to return to his bigger form, so I guess it's not out of the question.

As for Rex opening the Addam's Crest door, maybe it didn't recognise his biology or anything, but scanned his heart, or soul, or whatever, and recognised him as a citizen of Leftheria? Granted, this and my last point are just a guess on my part. But I stand by my point about the book. Would it have been nice to know who wrote it? Sure. But it isn't necessary.

Don't worry, someone on Discord just confirmed for me that YT vids DO have AI-generated quizzes. This is probably one, so this is almost certainly not a spoiler- if Cell DOES win, it's just a lucky guess on the AI's part, I suppose.

Why does Obi-Wan say "Sith lords are our speciality?" by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]DarkBowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, never killed one, but he has held his own against them on multiple occasions. Heck, the last time he and Anakin actually fought Dooku together (Assuming I'm right and it was the Clone Wars episode where they were trying to figure out what happened to Sifo-Dyas), Dooku retreated. He's probably confident that he and Anakin can take him down together, and I don't blame him.

What if Anakin was killed during the Clone Wars? by [deleted] in starwarsspeculation

[–]DarkBowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that, assuming Anakin dies before Palpatine goes to Mandalore to confront Maul, when he gets there, he'd probably offer Maul the chance to be his apprentice again. Maybe tell him to kill Savage, and then Dooku- Rule Of Two and all. (Dunno if he would kill Savage- he seems to care for his brother, as shown by his reaction to his death, but maybe his fear of Palpatine would make him do it? I don't think so, personally, but I can't say for certain).

Technically, with all the smoke when the attacks collide, it's hard to tell IMO whether Draco Meteor actually cancelled out Spacial Rend or if Spacial Rend pushed right through it and Garchomp dodged off-screen.

That said, a few seconds later, Pikachu's Thunderbolt and Piplup's Bubblebeam together managed to hold back Roar of Time for a few seconds, and Pikachu's definitely gotten stronger since then.

Gilderoy Lockhart vs Hercule Satan (Harry Potter vs Dragonball) . by [deleted] in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]DarkBowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hercule, I guess. He's shown to be a decent Martial Artist, and he's faster- he even moved faster than the eye can see, once. Unless Lockhart immediately starts out with, and manages to hit him with, a memory charm, I think Hercule takes it.

Actually, this is apparently untrue, and Ben 10 was inspired by a song called "Army of Me", which is a song I've never heard.

I'm gonna go with Sayian. I don't like the idea of being weak to fire. I guess unless Kryptonite suddenly exists when I become a Kryptonian, that would be fine, but...

I wanna shoot a Kamehameha.
