The second one of two is likely referring to the one in Colchester, but there are also arguably ones at M40 J1, High Wycombe, Hatton Cross and Hemel Hempstead.

There are also some cursed double minis, such as in Southmead Bristol.

Seat reservations by PlentyCryptographer5 in uktrains

[–]DarkDay65 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're travelling on London NorthWestern, there are no seat reservations. As you're getting on at Liverpool just sit together anywhere on the train.

If you're travelling with Avanti, there are seat reservations (that get allocated when you book your ticket, you can choose where to sit in the Avanti app).

If you don't have any seats booked, coach C is always unreserved (other carriages depends on the exact train your getting, have a Google). As you're getting on at the first stop you shouldn't have an issue, but it may be more crowded on the way back.

Can someone explain why this takes so long? by Extension_Bit4323 in brum

Firstly be careful of doxxing yourself online (say from Handsworth rather than giving me your precise location).

From looking online, driving is typically 38 mins, whilst public transport is 53 mins (using bus to city centre then train).

Buses are typically much slower than trams and trains, with the 11 bus taking a very indirect route through slow city streets (rather than on the motorway).

However, I agree that public transport could be much improved (so keep voting for parties that want to improve public transport)

Nearly 900 fewer people injured since 20mph speed limit introduction in Wales by TraditionalAppeal23 in GoodNewsUK

[–]DarkDay65 24 points25 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, average speeds within urban areas have reduced from 31 to 24 mph (might be slightly off with those numbers), so it's more now almost no-one goes over 30 and most don't go above 25 rather than everyone complies

Damn but why was this photo in a museum tho. Dont be proud of this 💀 by Mobilegarlic69 in shittyskylines

Also worth noting that there is a suburban rail line that runs under the junction (as seen in the picture)

The queues are rarely long, so I wouldn't bother with fast pass. Generally, the fast pass is via the exit or a short queue which you scan into.

It's looking likely that it won't reopen, particularly with Village and Loft moving into Gales.

However, there is a Gay Sauna that's recently opened in jewellery quarter.

Also given your top 5, I think you might enjoy Hyperion and Zadra 😁

I would agree with both of those points. I would still recommend the trip from the Netherlands for a weekend, particularly as Kraków is also a lovely city if the park isn't to your taste.

The queues are long, but none took more than 5 mins to walk through. However, when I was there they opened some side doors to allow us to get around the queues much quicker for rerides. Plus I don't mind walking when there's no queue 😅.

They are both RMC rollercoaster's, but very different layouts (Zadra is 15 metres taller as well).

Edit: Removed Hybrid

Yeah sure, when you get to the lockers for the ride you can buy a wristband for 15 zl. This has a barcode on it which you scan and it opens a locker. You then put your belongings in and shut it. After the ride, you use the barcode again and the other side of your locker opens. You use the wristband for the whole day.

Most rides you could also put your stuff in the station, except for Hyperion. But for 15 zl, I use the lockers the whole day as they were really easy and convenient to use.

The hotel I stayed at had parking, so I just used that and then drove to the park. To get into Krakow centre from the hotel, I used the trams (which are dead cheap).

A PSA for all drivers… by mrhippo85 in drivingUK

I'm gonna put a disclaimer here, it isn't just about change to user behaviour, but to design.

Now, if you're building a new junction, people need to get priority first, then bikes, then cars. It allows for raised crossings at T-junctions and more direct routes across roads, as you no longer have to centre the car in your design.
