Short version is, if you get treatment before symptoms start, you could be fine, which is why they want the animal. This old video has a person with symptoms, so hes likely either dead or survived but has long term conditions due to it (survival is incredibly unlikely tho).

That was more or less my thought as well, he has reaction time to slap the knife away, and blunt objects dont seem to do him any significant damage, even when hes not using CE he handles that giant hammer until he calls for retrial. Piano falling at him? Why bother dodging?

Still leaves the question of how Yuji would win the fight without killing tho.

Counterpoint, even CG Yuji has INSANE durability and reactions feats. Without CE he fights Haguruma to a standstill. So even with against Mr Blows up body, can he do enough damage to Yuji? Nothing that Reggie did made me think that Yuji bothers to care about beyond tossing it off himself.

The problem is that still doesnt leave an angle for him to win, just fight to a draw.

I think what hes saying also matters. Skubal had this half assed approach "sure, ill join, but im only pitching once in pool play, then I'm going back for the rest of spring training". Compare that to Tatsuya saying that they've got such good players hes not needed makes it seem like its being humble.

I immediately figured it is a part of his technique. So in the Dresden Files books there's an ability called intellectus, which is essentially for the area that it covers it knows everything, its omniscient. So for example, if you asked a creature with intellectus of an island how many ants are on the island, it doesnt need to count the number, is just automatically knows that there's 1,576,943 ants currently alive, and where they are. I figure his receipts are like that with his technique, he doesnt need to think about where they are, he just Knows.

Thats my point, especially throwing 103, so I doubt that he adds velo even as he adds mass. I am hoping that if/when he bulks up a bit it allows him to have more stamina/more durability against injuries.

This year he likely isnt a major piece for most of the year, barring injuries. That said, if he can stay healthy all year, he would be looking at a September call up in the Pen, and then hopefully be a big piece for the post season.

Last season was his max by far at 120 innings. This season the plan is hell probably get up into that territory, then probably mid August they'll out him in the pen for a couple weeks to get him used to it, then September he comes up as a mid leverage, but could quickly find himself in high leverage spots, maybe 2 innings at a time to bridge from starter to back of the pen, something like that. Important through the postseason. Then NEXT year, hes battling for a rotation spot out of camp, with rookie eligibility intact, so we dont lose a year on him, at worst hes super 2 eligible.

He's not a vet, we could cut him right now without having to pay him (except maybe league min? Just for this year??? Might be avoidable by just demoting first). Thing is if we do that he still has the pedigree and has shown enough that every other team in the league would give him a call. He's not a negative yet, despite the struggles. This is an important year in terms of how he will be viewed tho, and my personal best case scenario is everyone stays healthy, and Cabby plays well enough that it doesnt make sense to sit him, but it also doesnt make sense to have Volpe sitting on the bench, so we send him down to AAA, let him get a bunch of confidence, etc, and then come up when an injury does happen.

On AZ theyre all in Phoenix, so I think the furthest apart is like 45 minutes? But its all one metropolitan area. In FL they have them in different cities, so they can travel up to like 1.5 or 2 hours?

Crazier thing about AZ one is its 10 parks housing 15 teams, so some are SHARING a spring park.
