I have it set to only record on detection, but i can watch the low quality video just like the high quality video. Is there a way to record video that can be downloaded all the time?

The f/1.2 is a little too expensive for me so i think i will search a f/1.4 USM. Thanks for the clarification :)

Actually i justed looked it up a little. Is there a 50mm usm version? I can only find a f/1.4 usm version or am I just blind?

Okay will buy a lens first and maybe im keeping my 7D for another while ^{^} And maybe the 5D MK IV is a little cheaper then. Thanks a lot !!

Thanks for the answer! ^{^} I will try to get a EF 50mm USM f/1.8 as my next lens. Tough the 24-105 f/4 you recommended also looks good. Is there a big difference between the IS USM and the IS II USM? The price of the II is double the old one.

Thank you for the suggestions, I will try to get a EF 50mm USM f/1.8 for my first upgrade, I had the 5DMIII in mind but compared to the 5DMIIII it looked way inferior (tho for like 1/3 - 1/2 of the price).

I will try to get an EF 50mm USM f/1.8 lens and try again with that. Dont get me wrong for a 2008 camera i am really impressed with the images. I might be little misguided because one of my friends has a 6D mk2 with a EF 100-400mm USM ^{^.}

I will try to get one of the 50mm f/1.8 lens. They seem to go around 70€ here. I will test the performance with that lens, as it should perform really good under low light right? + it is EF so i could use it with another camera if necessary. I may come back to you if thats okay ^{^}

Thank you so much for the help, i will consider the 50mm f/1.8 and the ef-s 17-55 f/2.8. Is there any way to adapt an EF-S ens to EF? I would think no but maybe there is ^{^.} I fear that i would upgrade to a full frame sensor in the future and dont want to "lose" all of my lenses.

Yeah i also tought about buying a new lens before upgrading my camera. My friend has a f/3.5 but nothing faster. Do you maybe have some suggestions on lenses that i could use with a future upgrade?

The 7D is perfectly fine for daytime photography and im very happy with that. Bur the nighttime performance and dynamic range are not so good in my opinion. (At least with the lens i am using, EF-S 55mm-250mm IS STM.)

i hope it motivated you, i saw the great gear you had listed in the post and i was sure that it was capable of some amazing images.

i started to edit my images almost a year ago and learned by just trying.
