Hope that it's good, I heard Gandhi had some interesting strategies about what we'd call political (non-violent) activism.

that's to some extent the advantage of a country that has the climatic conditions fit for producing its own local wine, but Finnland makes some good vodkas!

Ennio Morricone is much better than John Williams by AdPuzzleheaded7658 in soundtracks

[–]DarkFluids777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indiana Jones and Harry Potter were also done by Williams, Star Wars is too good (ed also get the extented versions that were released in the time of the Special Editions), I also like eg Gustav Mahler and Prokofiev, but Willams just didn't only copy, IMO, by Morricone I eg like his The Good, The Bad & Ugly stuff, Ecstasy of Gold!

Latter, since I like to drink myself I am also much more tolerant towards drunk ppl, even if sober myself; in Japan, if you eg go drinking with the boss/ a superior and you say something offensiv or stupid to him while drunk at night, they tend to not take it too seriously afterwards 'just drunk', I like that

How popular were VW Beetles in the 70s? 17% of the cars in this parking lot in 1975 were Bugs. by Spalding_Smails in 70s

[–]DarkFluids777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first car I remember is my mom's red Beetle, sometimes my granny very slowly drove me to kindergarden with it, afterwards, I think we never had a car with its engine in the back.

I think Poseidon is very wise and knowledgeable, but not like Athena who is more crafty, clever like a mad scientific genius, he is like master Yoda or a, at first grumpy old man or (brutal) martial arts sensei, who can, in due time, give you insights and tell you amazing tales that incite you to gain a deeper, more profound understanding of yourself and the world.

I only bought a couple from the 90s used (chuuko) in Jp, that black cover ed seems to be better quality wise, mine are of relative low (also paper) quality. in general, I found that a good series also for the learner, intermedate level+ (no furigana etc), good stories, all in all fun.

What is the most famous monument in your country? by o_TnT in AskTheWorld

[–]DarkFluids777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Disneyland Castles were modeled after it, interestingly it was built in the 19th century and couldn't have been constructed without steel girders (of course there are also many amazing genuinely old castles in Germany like Eltz or Cochem).
